I’m enjoying painting these B&B miniatures, it’s nice to do some individual miniatures and I’m getting to try out lots of different techniques.

I also worked on him any time I had time to paint, but not enough time to do something meaningful across 12 nids. I am continuing to use him in that role, and I’m liking that. I might have to keep a solo on hand for all future bulk painting projects.
I am mainly working on completing the 15 Mantic Scifi Zombies I picked up as a bonus in their Deadzone and perhaps Dreadball Kickstarters. They appear to be wearing Colonial Marines style armour, so I have begun by painting everything green. Tonight I start work on their flesh tines. They are affected by the Deadzone/Warpath plague but it didn’t work properly on them so I will be painting their flesh the same bright pink as my Plague army. Red and green are contrasting colours so hopefully this will work well. Then its pick out the vest tops, guns, and tools, and see whats left.

Melitta was a Luftwaffe Test pilot but switched to piloting mechs after the success of Operation Valkyrie. Now assigned to the White Skulls division, she is found on the front lines taking a far more active role in field testing the latest mechs but she usually comes back to her favorite, The Valkyrie.
July 7, 2018 at 4:33 pm #1226622These are some archers, mainly from Conquest Games, but two of the bodies are Gripping Beast. They are all, to one level or another, converted pieces which is something I do not do so often. Unfortunately, most of the conversions were not voluntarily as the Conquest part just did not fit with each other, or gave very strange and unnatural poses. A lot of cutting and sawing was needed to make these look decent. As such I would not recommend this kit (Medieval Archers) really. Anyway, they are twelve in total so intended for Saga.

Good job too as the zombie models are terrible, as is my paint job for them. I was impressed by the sprue. 5 models per sprue and yet I was able to make 15 unique zombies without trying. But when I came to paint them they lacked definition and things didnt work as I expected. A better painter than me could get better results I’m sure, but I don’t recommend these models. Thankfully I don’t expect to ever put them on the table so it shouldn’t matter much. I’ve also put 3 shades of skin tone down on some Tyranids and begun assembling my Morticians guild. Tomorrow I attack the garden, finish the build, prime them and maybe work on a new solo.
