House 9 for MERCS.
This last project got me a golden button plus my mother started dropping not so subtle hints that she wanted one. The original was for my Elf and lord of the rings mad Sister for her birthday and to keep me sane during lockdown on my own with just a Jack Russell called Trouble for company. It was a success even though it had her in tears.
This in itself caused me a problem, what do i do for my mother? well as you youngsters on here will soon learn Mother is always right and deserves something with time effort and lots of love put into it. sure its easy to go online and buy something off the shelf but mum’s usually keep keepsakes along the many twists and turns of their kids lives and anything made especially for them is usually treasured more than store bought. If nothing else has been learned during lock down and 2020 then it has to be that moments with family are precious and we should make more of an effort with them
Now my dilemma, what to make her well that was the easy to solve i simply asked my sister what she would like. Her first reaction was NOT one exactly like hers so i gave her the printable scenery website details and sent her off looking. Eventually she settled on the Gloomwood Treehouse from the Elven scenery range. as it was for mum i decided on creating more of a narrative diorama and after hours searching settled on a couple of miniatures from the Reaper range to top it all off. Its been another labour of love to simply give away but ive a sister and mum who are delighted, and trust me when you older that’s worth its weight in gold lol.
