I have finally atoned for the “yellow incident.” The Dwarves from the Skull Pass box are done! Really, here’s the Thane:
The Slayer:
The Cannon and crew:
And one extra Slay I lumped in with the others because I didn’t know what else to do with him. He was actually a Mordheim character, from a warband of escaped pit-fighters and gladiators, released shortly before the Specialist Games were shut down (had I known that was going to happen I might have gotten more than the dwarf.)
Now that I’ve finished these up, I’ll be darned if I know what to do with them. They’re not exactly a full army list. I don’t think I know anyone who still plays oldhammer (there’s a game and comics shop that does occasional AoS games, but I’m scared if I start participating the store will close like the last one did).
So I went from having a bunch of unpainted Dwarves I don’t know what to do with, to having painted Dwarves I don’t know what to do with, so… progress?
June 26, 2018 at 2:51 pm #1218507Completed my slingers for Saga, twelve ones from Gripping Beast. Happy with the result, but I think it is because I had so much fun with painting the faces. 🙂

I finally finished my Hunters Guild. More details can be found over at the Project over here:
Lawnor’s Hunters Guild Project
I also rushed through the Falconer’s Guild release event exclusive ball:
Thanks to ebay working for and against my goals I am now down to only 181 unpainted models to deal with, ideally before Godtear arrives next year.
June 26, 2018 at 8:09 pm #1218621@lawnor – Nice work there, good progress with plan for 2018!
I completed some scatter pieces that I printed on my Prusa i3 mk3. The middle one is a tribal fence piece. These were quick jobs as they are intended to be terrain and perhaps not the focus point of the table. Functional none-the-less. 🙂

June 27, 2018 at 9:03 am #1218809Starting a project has restarted my painting drive! This poor fella was left languishing on my painting tray barely basecoated when I started and now look at him.
Ok. Calling the Butcher a ‘poor fella’ is just asking for a party wipe next time I face him.
I am currently working on the two cleavers and have gloss coated the rest of the model to give me finger holds while I work (hence the shine). I will be going into more detail on how I painted the cleavers in the main project once I complete them.
June 27, 2018 at 11:58 am #1218974Hi guys, been a while since I last posted. I finally finished my Imperial Knight for my ad mech army and was really happy with how the transfers and my attempt at freehand writing went. Also very nearly finished my bloodsecrator as I feel that AOS is going to be big in my plans for the next few months!!!
Cheers
Liam

June 27, 2018 at 9:49 pm #1219459With Age of Sigmar 2nd edition just around the corner and excitement gathering in my gaming group, I decided to get on with painting my Dwarf Fyreslayer army that I started at the beginning of the year.
So obviously the most sensible thing to do was start on the biggest miniature in the army, the Magmadroth (no sensible tester model on a rank and file troop for me, oh no!)
I have now completed the Magmadroth and my progress to this point can be seen on the project log: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/age-of-sigmar-fyreslayer-lodge/
I now need to base this (would welcome your thoughts on this)
June 27, 2018 at 10:47 pm #1219508I have been utilising my new painting station to start on my Vikings, first 2 are pretty much done apart from basing.
June 28, 2018 at 3:34 am #1219562More Dust 1947 stuff. This time the Bloody Blitz. The Bloody Baron figure was done awhile ago.
June 28, 2018 at 9:44 am #1219699Haven’t been here awhile… Boys, you’re still all kicking arses!
