June 18, 2018 at 10:34 pm #1212653I really regret not logging the progress on this one, but there was so little painting involved that I feel unworthy of Waypn :p I sprayed this car white and then painted half of it red then covered the red half in white transfers and the white half in red transfers.
Then I went nuts with a drill . I was really impressed with how well the thin coat of varnish protected the paint and transfers from a fairly manic drill attack. hats off to those army painter peeps.
June 19, 2018 at 12:01 am #1212710First time posting here, but I do have a Project with more here.
Below is the last of the ‘test’ Snake-men that I have been working on. Wanted to make a couple of different skin colors to find my favorite. Not totally sold on the blue, maybe after some highlights. The yellow and red (in the Project) have been my favorite so far.
Thanks for looking!
June 19, 2018 at 2:06 am #1212785Having conversion fun with my Deathguard project. Decided that papa Nurgle would probably help corrupt and recruit from his enemies to replace any of his the fallen Plague marines when the situation presented itself.
This poor Space Wolf is just such a Victim.
More pics and details on my blog.

June 19, 2018 at 7:18 am #1212840June 19, 2018 at 7:42 am #1212841Hi there folks!
Well, a little over 5 months since I last picked up a paint brush and I have finally managed to get back at the painting table. The reason it took so long is I have moved house and where I am now living didn’t have anywhere for me to paint so I have spent 5 months building a painting desk, which you can see here in my project.
The desk is now finished even though the project doesn’t show it but I still have a few images to sort out of the finished product.
But that’s not what I want to show you. I want to show you these guys. Lando was the first of the two and when I look at it I think I can tell I was a little rusty. Obiwan isn’t finished yet but I think he’s turning out quite nicely.
Anyway, it’s good to be back, I hope I can pop in a little more regularly.

June 19, 2018 at 6:23 pm #1213169Forge World putting this guy up for “Last Chance to Buy” meant my Minotaurs got an unscheduled addition
June 19, 2018 at 7:03 pm #1213200so i have nearly completed my overlords just need to highlight the portholes and doable check the rest before the final coat of varnish. not too fancy but table top level. any suggestion on what i could improve to take the painting up a gear?
June 19, 2018 at 7:34 pm #1213210i got this Death Guard Sorcerer from Forge World at first i wasn’t overly impressed by the model. It looked miscast to me and ugly .
But when i started work on it , it started to come to life. I now love it
June 19, 2018 at 8:34 pm #1213235I managed to finish Obiwan as well. I’m a lot happier with the results than the Lando miniature. I think having the lightsabre and being able to play around with the lighting made this slightly more interesting to paint. It was good to really be able to get my teeth into this one and I probably spent more time on it as a result
June 19, 2018 at 9:16 pm #1213289Only bases remaining now for my Gripping Beast slingers;
I especially like painting the faces and experimenting a bit. Been using African Shadow, Basic Flesh, and Pale Skin from Scale75 for all tones. Was fun, I do not think I will use washes on skin anymore, as I like the control you get with painting the shades…. Still have a ways to go, but I suppose practise makes perfect.. 🙂 and yeah, I do not like head no.4, bottom row. I did not like the sculpt from the beginning, and now it irritates me…. meh! The others are screaming and squinting, but that guy is probably seeing Odin incarnate, or something else scary the others are missing…. or maybe he is just pondering his silly mustache.
June 19, 2018 at 9:40 pm #1213339So I foolishly challenged a friend to paint a Stormcast Eternal miniature in an NMM style. It’s something I’ve flirted with a couple of times, but never seriously taken on the challenge. It’s hard, and I’m not even very far in to it.
Here’s my progress so far:
It’s shiny because I’ve just added washes. So far I’ve spent the most time trying to get the hammer looking like metal. It doesn’t yet, but I’m hoping the next lot of highlights and shades on it will make it pop. Have I said this stuff is hard? I have so much respect for the guys who make this look easy 😀
And just for completeness, his base, also WIP:
