So I’ve slowly been working on some modern combat stuff. Courage in Conflict British Infantry minis and associated terrain.
Here is my first offering to the COG gods. Some Afghan compounds. what do you think?
September 24, 2019 at 2:52 pm #1439513Been busy again.
Tanks minis getting some love because I want to get involved in the campaign coming up as best I can.
First attempt at a Napoleonic redcoat since my youth with 1/72 scale Esci soldiers.
And some terrain for my Blood and Plunder games.
September 24, 2019 at 4:13 pm #1439537Finally finished another two of the gorgeous minis from Judgement. Well……. finished up one of them last month but was a bit slack getting the ol photies taken! Finished another yesterday and spent the morning getting some snaps!!
Sharn the Orc Warrioress & Nephenee the Enforcer
More photos as usual over in the project place here !!!
September 24, 2019 at 10:38 pm #1439595So I haven’t told anyone here, but I was having trouble with my airbrush, a LOT of trouble. Turns out that the nozzle at the front was plugged up, and after unscrewing it and cleaning it out, the damn thing BROKE as I screwed it back in. Just got a replacement today (at $20 bucks) and primed some abominations from the CMON game The Others: 7 sins.
Primed about three or four guys, (not quite finished with the fourth).
September 25, 2019 at 1:59 am #1439616@faust23 that is some nice work. Would love to see some more angles
@soldado wonderful lethal critters there. Most inspiring.
@deaddave so pretty, so very well done and completely correct in how well they fit in with the space station
@blipvertus I’ll be happily watching your dwarf force grow, one color at a time, as it is always nice to see fellow beards.
@suetoniuspaullinus I am always in awe of the quality and quantity of your output. That and you still have the coolest screen name.
I have finished two figures that complete both my Ash & Oak Club as well as my Unaffiliated collections. Now the Scylla are targeted for completion next but there’s a lot of house cats to prep and paint.
There are a lot more pictures of both minis on my project blog;
September 25, 2019 at 4:05 am #1439625Painted these three way back when, hated the results. So when I recently found methylated spirits, I stripped and painted them again. I still hate them, but I think they’re as good as they’ll ever get, so they’re officially done.
Just for the record, I have done a good job with some of the models from this game. Or at least an ok job. Here are some old photos of some player characters in case you don’t believe me:
Rather proud of the wolfman, although he is bigger than the others.
September 25, 2019 at 7:16 am #1439634@144artist cheers ? and that first dude looks like Lord Flashheart from blackadder ?

Chimney is from the TF Medieval Bakery set.
A bit early, but if you paint slowly… ~8)

September 25, 2019 at 9:38 pm #1439919We’re having a hobby contest over in Haqqislam briefing room during the campaign, which actually made me paint some minis. I’ve already done my entry figure (I’ll publish it here after the contest is finished) and by power of inertia pulled this unremarkable brawler hacker off.
September 25, 2019 at 10:21 pm #1439936@brianfowler713 I like your Drow priestess and game pieces. Really looking forward to seeing what your niece does with the angel. Love introducing the next generation to the hobby!
@dugthefug1644 I like the water hole in the desert.
@irishsteve always such clean work with amazing blends
@ced1106 great detail pieces you have there and never too early to light the holiday spirit.
@d2painterth gorgeous pieces you have there though I must admit to being partial to the wolf!
With Kings of War releasing their third edition soon I have been trying to fill a couple holes in my armies. For the dwarfs that means Berserker Lords on Brocks as well as an Army Standard Bearer armed with a Boomstick.
September 25, 2019 at 11:35 pm #1439959Unfortunately, I think my niece’s days of visiting and painting are pretty done. She’s old enough for school now, so I already started on it myself.
However, there were plenty of other angels in the store, so maybe I can get another one.
September 26, 2019 at 9:34 am #1440055When you’re talking about picking up another angel in the store it sounds like you are talking about kidnapping a replacement niece. Its very creepy. We know what you meant though.
