10mm Copplestone Casting figures mounted on 2ps. Rangers, Dwarfs and City Guard. The Dwarfs are about 9mm tall and the humans about 11mm.
Awesome @robert am jealous as my 10mm projects are stalling currently. What are they based for?
@nogbadthebad I was inspired by @avernos‘ 15mm multibased Crusaders and Saracens for Saga so just wanted to challenge myself and see what 10mm would be like based the same way. The multibase is just for display. If I get a couple of forces built up, I might use them to play Age of Magic, there are some very nice 10mm/15mm monsters out there. Also the first models I have painted in 15 months so nice to get the painting mojo back.
Dust 1947 Laser Grenadier Command Squad done in Luftwaffe Field Division colors.
@robert well they look amazing and I see you have at least been sensible in ensuring you can still play with the ‘bigger boys’ by multi basing.
i decided to do a one to one based on washers so really, c50 minis a side in 10mm didn’t seem unreasonable but so far I have one not even halfway done gobbo force, my original Dwarves (mainly mm’s) are still white tac’d down! I have brought more though cos shiny so have an undead force emerging… ah well!

Having received most of the Contrast paints I ordered from Element Games (almost a month after the order was placed and I am still waiting for 6 pots and I am seriously unimpressed with them over it) I decided to have a crack with them. I made a start on Imperial Assault a couple of years ago and progress kind of stalled a little and I thought I would give Contrast Paints a go, see if they really lived up to the hype. Personally I think that the answer is yes. These aren’t going to win any competitions any time soon, however considering how much I have managed to paint in less than a week, I can see blitzing through board games is now a definite possibility. Let me know what you guys think.
I also painted a few miniatures the old fashioned way. The Rodian Hired Guns were painted before I got my Contrast Paints. The Storm Troopers were painted with regular paints because you can’t achieve the same white effects with Contrast. The Droids were just primed with gun metal, zenithol highlighted with silver and the airbrushed with filters. Finally, I painted Greedo the old fashioned way because he is a character model and just wanted to spend a little more time on him.
@onlyonepinman They look really good. I did read somewhere that GW were out of stock when it came to contrast paints
I saw this for painting stormtroopers with contrast paints
@torros the thing is, GW aren’t out of stock. You can walk into a GW store and they’re fully stocked – I know because I have been in and looked. They’re out of stock of some colours online and that’s delaying orders. However they also have lots of stock sat on shelves in stores which means they prioritised their stores over online customers who have already paid which I consider to be somewhat unethical.
@nogbadthebad you will get there with the 10mm stuff.
@torros I see they are from Pendraken and you were either in a hurry or a bad mood this morning as that poor envelope has been torn to shreds but I can’t read what the baggy says or make out the models. Are they trolls? They look quite big.
Also if anyone knows what company made and sold this tiny mummy carrying a big sword that I painted last night is, I would appreciate if you would @robert me! It is old, metal and cast on its own base.
