April 27, 2019 at 8:33 pm #1383304April 27, 2019 at 10:33 pm #1383327Picked this up at Michaels in an after Christmas sale. Got a few pieces and thought they would scale well with Necromunda or Kill Team. Originally a part of a Christmas village did some rough painting with brown spray paint and AK Water Gel Atlantic Blue Acrylic. First time using the Acrylic
An Assembled Sly Marbo for Scale.

April 28, 2019 at 1:14 pm #1383496Next batch of monsters for Mythic Battles: Pantheon finished. Full project here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1318411/
April 28, 2019 at 3:15 pm #1383499So, after doing something stupid involving a mountain bike a large rock and a sudden stop from about 20 miles an hour, I haven’t had full use of my right hand since december.
So these are my first minis of 2019. Its a bit of a journey, learning to hold a paintbrush and airbrush again. I’ve taken some images along the way, will put them into a project this week I think. I thought the best way to get back into painting was to take a couple of the easy to assemble GW space marines and see what I could do with them. Cheap and easy to paint too.
Edited to add:
I’m using the new 4ground range as a photo backdrop, this is Urbes Mortis Ruins 01. Its fantastic stuff, both for terrain and painting – the doors are the perfect colour for using as a white balance setting when editing.
April 28, 2019 at 9:29 pm #1383722Hello! long time not posted, lots of very nice pictures as always.
So let’s finally crawl out of my cave and show the last addition to my Blood red skies collection.
After those I just need the hurricane squadron and half a staffel of JU-88 and my initial goal will be done.
Tiny bit of edit there just to say that those guys are from the ZG 26 for Battle of Britain, 5th Staffeln to be exact (5/ZG 26 if we want to have the german official codin). The decals comes from miscmini.
April 29, 2019 at 12:16 am #1383805Although i’ve Asked this in my project anyway but I thought i’d ask it here as well.
Here is a 10mm gobo wiz… what colour should I do the gem at the top of his staff, and should I attempt source lighting effects from it… i’ve never tried it before though
April 29, 2019 at 11:26 am #1383996Had a chance to paint up the Wrath-Axe. Have to say these “spells” are fun to paint up.
April 29, 2019 at 11:33 am #1384002I’ve started work on some more Mythic Battles: Pantheon Project models and the Brute from Gloomhaven. Flesh and horns are done, and I’ve started work on the fur. Anyone got a recipe for antlers before I paint them the same bone as the skulls they are part of?
I’ve also continued work on my 40k fix up project (Now cheekily added to the Spring Cleaning completion.). I’ve done some repairs on the two damaged Daemons using green stuff and instant mould. Not the finest work, but let’s see how the look once primed?
I also helped my friend move and painted her kitchen. Does that count? I did get told off at one point for not loading enough paint on my rollers as its going to need to be gone over again. No one understood me when I kept repeating “two thin coats”.
Does anyone remember Caladors from the old forums? He used to do a video going through the WAYPN thread only, giving constructive feedback on every single image. BoW cannot do this in such depth on the Hobby Hangout as it used to take hours. Well, he started doing them again a month or so back, but at a new site. I hope BoW don’t mind if I share a link to his new home so other people can find him. His videos go live Sundays 1pm British time and stay on youtube afterwards.

I finished a Stoessi’s Hero. He will lead my British Armoured Platoon in future Bolt Action Matches:
‘JOE’ Vandeleur enjoys a cup of tea before the attack starts. 😉 🙂 As Commanding Officer of 3rd Battalion Irish Guards, he led the breakout of XXX Corps during Operation Market-Garden. In the movie “A bridge too far” he is played by the famous actor Michael Caine.
Kind regards
Krautwerk
April 30, 2019 at 3:39 pm #1384655@krautwerk I didn’t spot the new chap in the group shot (if he’s there, send coffee and a bigger smartphone). How does he line up with the regular Tommies?
Great looking force! ??
April 30, 2019 at 10:34 pm #1384821Hello again all.
I’ve been enjoying looking through the fantastic work on here, using it as inspiration as it is shows what can be done and in turn inspiring me to get more done.
Below is the completed “last viking” model I started on the previous page.
I struggled a bit with this one tbh, but I was happy with how the cloak and shield came out more than the rest of the mini.
Still a way to go before my Erehwon Barbarian army is completed.
