@warzan what is happening with 4ground, I think we are all a little bit confused, could you find out for the community?

I know the chaps have some restrictions on what they can say while it all pans out over the next week or so. They seem to be committed to having their community, customers and backers taken care of and are pushing to have pretty much business as usual in that dept.

I like many others are just giving the guys a bit of space to get themselves sorted so they can get back to work.

As I have said before on other forums I don’t know British Law.  As a business owner I know that what they are doing is not easy.  I am also concerned for the kickstarter because if the company that created it is gone there is no recourse for the backers.  There is only until July 3rd to follow up with the lawyers in charge of the liquidation.  If the kickstarter backers don’t follow up with this then will they have any recourse later?  I don’t know but it is a valid question.

The other thing that concerned me was in the update on Kickstarter, as it reads they are walking away from the rules of kickstarter and will do the process as they see fit.  Could I be cynical, that is a big yes but in my real life I have to be, I hope that my heart is correct and my business mind is wrong.

“Tymeagain Ltd. has every intention to produce this game as they see fit, this will as always be, with the general consensus of those within the original gaming development circle”

As far as I can tell. (and Myself and Lloyd have watched a few companies go into liquidation as unsecured creditors) Even if you managed to say that a KS was an unsecured debt (which currently in the UK it’s not recognised as such because its a pledge not a purchase – currently at least) you will be bottom of the list and if you got 1p in the pound you would be doing well.

I think I’d rather take my chances with the owners if they are trying to continue fulfilment as a gesture of good will (and honestly this is nothing to do with me knowing 4ground – its just a pragmatic approach to get more than a few pence from a liquidator who has a list of folk to pay including themselves first)

We have been owed thousands in the past and got absolutely nothing not even the few pence 🙁

I know the pragmatic approach will not sit well with everyone, but I suppose its a life lesson we picked up when the choices are limited.

Do we need multiple threads on the same subject?

Would it be best to delete this one (or merge it into the first one)….
