@thedace I find that setting aside actual cash (and thus avoiding credit card payments) when going to these sorts of things really helps.
I often spent way less than I actually had available as a result, because I can see the money dissappear …

*Quietly chuckling to himself as he channels his inner Gru (Despicable Me) with steepled fingers looking over the progress of the secret evil project under development by @sundancer *
You and I, Good Sir, are in need of a copy of Evil Genius 2 when it comes out.

I can’t help giggling every time I hear that AC/DC song since someone told me that the alternate lyrics are ‘Dirty deeds done with sheep’…

@sundancer I believe that there are welks that Wyrd has in store for their Through The Breach game. I can’t find any pics at present because I’m moving stuff about. I’ll check again. Aside from that have a bit done on the base work that I’ll post later.

@horati0nosebl0wer there is a sequel to Evil Genius ?

’cause the first one was great, if a little tricky to figure out at times.
Setting traps sequences was fun, but annoying when your own minions would trigger them a bit too frequently.
I hope the actual missions for the minions will require a bit more than waiting for a ticking timer to complete.

Moved into interim housing of a hotel before a future full fledged rental for my gf and myself. I am beat but the mini work still progresses for display bases with plasticard. I need to get my hands on some 100 grit sandpaper for woodgrain on the right hand base. The left hand is already capped at the edges so it’ll be better to scribe the planks. That isn’t exactly fun/easy but it’ll look a lot better once I’m done.

I might want to think about the minis I’ll place on them as I have a bit of leeway with the development. The capped one will likely be some sort of horror theme that I can toss some broken fencing and toppled gravestones. It could be neat as a rundown steampunk setting. Developing the visual element of vertical space will be important with this one.

The uncapped base on the right has a look of rough hewn planking that would work for a Wild West figure. I’ve looked at some of Black Scorpion’s collection and there is much to think about painting. Maybe on the theme of death dealing it could become an undertaker’s shopfront or just a saloon door for a gunfighter. I’ll see what comes of it while I have the new space in transit.

It might be an idea to build on the “traveling base building kit”. Then again I have three different kits that I draw from in order to do so and its not necessarily that easily transported. I’ll work on paring it down for others to play about with for their own purposes.

@limburger I was thrilled to see the info on it as well. I was going to just refer to the first game with sundancer but it was too good to pass up. I can only think back to Dungeon Keeper as well with the build/defend play.

@limburger @horati0nosebl0wer  If you two like games like Dungeon Keeper you *must* play “War for the Overworld“.

Buy it on Gog.com or steam and enjoy it. I know I have…. they even managed to get the Dungeon Keeper Narrator 8)

Hobby time: I unpacked the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare box yesterday and started to “de-bend” all the minis. Most where ok, some had warped bases but Dogmeat was completely off angle and some guns had an angle to them. Currently they are all prepared to be primed.

@horati0nosebl0wer the only ‘sad’ thing is that the trailer (and the one with commentary) are from E3 2019 … with zero info after that. I think there’s a slight delay (because of course there is).

The one thing I do fear is that they will fill it with microtransactions and other idiocy (because that’s what publishers want these days).
I did like the idea the verticality and that they’re generating ‘random’ minions and agents.
    I hope there’s a sandbox mode too …

@sundancer : that’s already in my Steam library somewhere … not sure if it was GoG or Steam.
It’s a shame that EA managed to wreck Dungeon Keeper by making a mobile version …

Also a nifty little game : Overlord
