@sundancer I always think that for a desert planet there is a suspicious amount of ‘light skinned’ people walking around …
I mean I get that these ‘humans’ are not the same as on planet Earth, but when you start thinking of the folks in fictional settings it often appears that evolution either doesn’t exist or is conveniently ignored.

Then again … maybe the sand people are the only actual natives on the planet and everyone else is not ? (kind of makes you re-think the ‘sand people are evil’ thing, doesn’t it ?)

Just a few random thoughts … I probably should not overthink this sort of thing, even though it could make for some very interesting plot points.

Maybe the suns are very far away and weak and the planet is just very dry on it’s own…. or sunscreen is *very* effective XD
