No pledges, I’m in my hobby off-season with all the nice weather and outdoorsy stuff (I know!). Doing a bit hobby here and there and recently got an FDM printer to accompany the resin ones. 3D printing good!

What other social media platforms do you use?

Nowadays only YouTube, a bit of Discord and some forums. Got out of Facebook and Instagram few years ago, and now most recently stopped using Twitter. All good happiness inducing choices.

YouTube is for me is basically another Netflix/Amazon Prime/Disney Plus — just a bit different content. I have the paid version to not get ads. In addition to some Northern Ireland hobby guys, I watch other painting & modelling content, non-wargames maker stuff, exercise and sports videos, bike tech stuff etc. etc.

Discord I struggle with. I feel like I should be there constantly to keep up and I just don’t have the time for it. Forums are more relaxed.

@sundancer – nah, 3d printing awesome. Just like if you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re likely to drive your car into a wall, but once you’ve learned how to control the thing, it’s life-changing. 😉
@guillotine knows the score. 3D printing = good. Discord = bad.

    It’s Wednesday already.
The weather here down on the south coast of the UK is lovely.
Can’t honestly see me getting much hobby done today. But if it cools down a little this evening, I might slap some chops on some minis or something.

I’d argue driving your car into a wall is more life changing then driving correctly… depending on your speed XD @blinky465

I should have gone straight to bed after the uHH instead of uploading to YT…. I need to rethink my workflow XD

You know…. you could be onto something there.
So learning to drive is like learning to 3d print miniatures – life-changing + quality of life goes up.
And driving into a wall is like….? I hear there’s a new version of 40k just released 😉

See if there’s an ad-blocker extension for your browser. On the iPad, I watch YT with the Chrome browser, and it blocks ads.

Anyone found a blocker for an Amazon Fire or browser recommendation?

Firefox with the “uBlock Origin” plugin works like a charm for me.

If anyone is interested in that 40k 10th thing that was mentioned…

They have now released pdfs of all of the factions on warhammer community.

I think that, at the moment, social media does more harm than good. They ruin so many young people’s lives and it seems there’s nothing we can do
