    Friday!

This made me laugh today. But I also liked the first one.

Not played the original, but I like that the trailer takes the piss out of itself.

Ha that looks fun. Good to hear some Canadian classic rock being used on the trailer, too. I saw Bachman and Cummings in 2023, in Vancouver. Randy had just got back his stolen 50s Gretsch guitar, missing for 40 years, and he held it aloft like it was Excalibur! Glorious.

My morning was good news: the Labour Minister here in Canada has ordered a pause to the second-longest labour strike at Canada Post. 29 days long. Mail will begin moving next week again, and there will be a massive overhaul by commission of Canada Post – hopefully turning it back into a pure public service agency, versus the Crown corp it is now.

    I have incoming:

    – Nam 68

    – Battletech hardback for Alpha Strike Commander’s Edition

    – Gaslands conversion sprues

    – Hello Kitty fuzz pedal and pick tin

    – a leather guitar strap

And I have four hobby sales to mail out, finally get to move them.

    ‘Nam ’68 is cool.
Not sure when I get to build enough to play it, but there’s some really fun stuff in there.
I think I’ll pick Army instead of USMC. With Purple Haze pledge arriving a few days ago it’s as if the universe is telling me that ‘Nam is the way to go next year.

Then again … I got a notification telling me that the Deadman’s Hand mounted gunfighters are on their way to me too.
I haven’t heard anything from the TT Combat terrain I ordered, but seeing as they’re also with their Chroma terrain things may have been a bit busy ?

Plans for this weekend getting my house ready for the move next weekend. I probably should have done this sooner, but somehow I kept pushing it forward. It’s getting done on a Saturday, but I’m not having to pay the extra weekend fee … so I guess I got a good deal? We’ll see. It’s still a bit scary. That might be why I haven’t done my best to get that locked in. Anyways … that’s next week. Got to focus on things I need to do ‘now’ first.

@sundancer Outer Worlds seemed like a good game. Haven’t gotten around to playing it, but I think I’ve got it as a freebie from the Epic Games store at some point. It’s nice to see an original game. Not too sure if it needed a sequel, but that’s about all I can say about that.

I must admit that I haven’t kept up to date with videogames lately. There’s just nothing that’s interesting or exciting. I miss the simulators that Microprose used to do. Now it’s all arcade games and stupendously simple concepts that need to be on-line.

The Witcher 4 is happening … folk are already whining that it’s not about Geralt.
I think they should move onto something new instead of milking the setting one more time.

If there’s people willing to drink the milk from the cow… they’ll keep on milking.

The gameplay does not change significantly, but they keep churning out Fifa, Call of Duty, Grand Theft etc.

The Outer Worlds is a joy to play if you enjoyed Fallout New Vegas. Highly recommend.
