@danlee No need to worry. It’s just that one of the guys who streams for Rooster Teeth always makes the same character in every game, who is orange and purple too. I haven’t picked up any of the mechanicus, is that one of their house schemes? My imperials are limited to angels encarmine and a few tempestus scions.
@m30wm1x There is a Ryza scheme which is orange and steel coloured. I wanted to do an off-shoot of them so I kept the orange and then used the colour wheel to pick purple as a secondary colour and green as my spot colour. I started the force for the Warhammer 40 hobby weekend OTT did last year and at the time the contrast paint range had recently come out so I designed the paint scheme around using the contrast paints.
Here’s a link to my project: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1428459/
It’s sort of a catch-all for my Warmachine and AoS stuff, as I like using them together. (Warjacks are FUN in AoS!)
As for latest stuff, I don’t have a photo of my painted Long Gunners, but these are the two most recent things I’ve painted:
Greywater Fastness Gunmaster, built as an extra from my kitbash of a Leman Russ and Steam Tank
Tawny Firehair, because what army doesn’t need a half-naked catgirl barbarian?
Just back from the in-laws…. I wanted to stream and paint but I’m exhausted… You lot do great hobby.
@sundancer I frequently forget what day it is. I consider myself very lucky that I haven’t, yet, sleepily wandered into the wrong class at uni because I am working on the wrong day…though I imagine most of my professors would get a good laugh out of it.
@robert Fantastic work, as always, good sir! Just how many of the buggers have you done so far?
@kronosthetraveler Some excellent work in that project!
Today may be the day I start the kilt. Maybe. It’s been several years since I last did one…
What was the highest outdoor temperature in your neck of the woods the past week?
Thurs it was 30 outside
but inside
How did you feel?

Stunties are coming along , uppdated the project today. and made a new project for the pointy elves
@crazyredcoat 100 infantry, 2 cav, 12 dogs. Approximately.
@robert Most impressive!
Tartan is done. Not a bad final product, and most of the hard work already done on this chap. Project post is up, but here’s what he’s at right now.
Also, I’ve not shared much music recently, so have this:
i wrote some shit on my , pointy elves and my dwarfs projects. to let people know what direction i’m heading
Finished my diversion of painting some Stormcast, back to Napoleonics.
@robert Great work with the shields again
@sundancer It feels like groundhog day since lockdown started. Day, week, month, I feel like I don’t have a clue most of the time!
@scribbs love the colour scheme on your Stormcast
@crazyredcoat your angry Scotsman is coming on well.
got a bit bored with minis so decided to finish so terrain I started about a year ago. The mushroom is a flower pot, foil and Das. The tree thing is a toilet roll, foil, Das and teddy bear fur. Won’t be to be to everyone’s taste but fantasy terrain is boring as fuck at times so I fancied doing something different.
