I guess I’m too old for this, because I’ve got no flippin’ clue what “wordle” is.
Is it like mastermind, except with words ?
Oh … and Blues Brothers. Heck Yeah
@limburger – nailed it. Mastermind with words.
And Blues Brothers? What impeccable timing – one of my “jamming buddies” is having a hard time of it right now, his wife is in and out of hospital and he’s running around trying to keep all his music events going.
“if there’s anything I can do to help…..?”
You never expect anyone to seriously take you up on it, do you?
It’s like “we both agree I’m just being polite, and you politely decline and we’re both done with being polite”.
So I couldn’t really say no when he asked if I’d cover one of his (solo acoustic) gigs.
A “blues party” in a retirement home.
I’ve spent this afternoon playing about half the tracks from the Blues Brothers!
I didn’t have the horn section – but a few of the old timers joined in and made it great fun!
good to hear you’re finally sloshing some paint around. Next, you might even start to enjoy it!
@blinky465 Nah, it’ll wear off soon enough.
What do you lot think?
“Coffee” would be my honest answer because it’s only 6:45am and I have no clue on how Wordle works. It’s some kind of blend of Master Mind, Hangman and Scrabble I guess.
*reads next comments* Bingo!
“if there’s anything I can do to help…..?” – You never expect anyone to seriously take you up on it, do you?
Flock yes. That’s why I utter these words only on occasion. And if someone tells me those words you bet your last set of strings on it I will take them on of it. (Is that the correct wording?)
Because it’s early I need something light to start the day. Enjoy. (And yes, we’re all old!)
@blink465 with regard to wordle… done a few 2’s and 3’s not uncommon.
If you get it in 2, or 3 the odds are you got at least 3 letters (probably 4) by that point meaning you’re solving an anagram.
There’s an element of anxiety when your fifth attempt fails and you’re wondering whether failure is imminent…
I like Quordle as you’re solving 4 words at the same time. Wordle and Quordle are part of my breakfast routine… solve as I eat.
I’ll just bumble onto the thread after my hiatus and throw some music on in form of apology. Sorry all, life called and I’ve been attending to stuff.
Sorry all, life called and I’ve been attending to stuff.
No need to apologize Mr @horati0nosebl0wer
“Life is what happens while you make plans” or something. We all take some “us” time away from the hobby to stay on the mentally healthy side. Well, mostly. Most of us. You get my meaning.
Also it’s Friday and hell am I happy about it. Had some “emergency firewall fix” on the customers side. So no playing Battletech last night but on the plus side it went smoothly and I was able to catch up on @warbossd Yellow Belly Tabletop.
Off to the coffee machine!
Gerry should have been on-line for that YellowBelly episode yesterday.
3D printing ? It will never catch on …
@avernos We’re not terrorists. We’re merely concerned individuals who are future facing. It’s all similar to the squirrel world, but not quite, as we only lose out marbles.
@blinky465 Sometimes we need to dig deep and dredge out stuff to clear a path for new growth. It sucks to be alongside and help/watch somebody else hoe the row. It blows even more when we’re the ones doing it.
Now for more jovial things
Addendum: I got word yesterday about big news. Lloyd has a wayward Giftmas present that was sent to Bhutan due, I presume, to a mix up on the postal coding. It has been addressed by the various postal services and “should” be there, according to my estimates, in about a month’s time.
