So I didn’t get much done over the weekend. Got the models cleaned up, fully based and primed and that’s pretty much it. Not really in the mood to paint, just taking two lazy days off watching old TV. I guess I just need a pause to recharge.
I did play a game of Frostgrave on Saturday, a three player introductory game which was fun and went very slow to start with as some people learning the rules and had to create their warband. The really cool thing is that all four of us now have the 2nd edition rule book, so my harassing over lockdown about the game worked.

So you were living the adventure. ?
I really must get back into that game, I stopped playing when I finished the thieves guild quests. I think I’m part way through the vampire dlc.

Maybe wait a little bit longer. There will be an 10th anniversary edition update so that you can start fishing 😉

don’t you just hate it when you’ve got a brilliant idea and can’t test it because the stuff you need has to be ordered ?

Step 1 : order stuff from Amazon, (because I needed a new bike bell and a few ‘cheap bits’ to get to ‘free’ shipping were needed )
    – really useful box (A4 sized)
    – magnets (10mm diameter 2mm height)
    – 20mm metal rings (M10 sized washers)

    Step 2 : .. *eh* magic happens

Step 3 : storage solution for my ork horde … (that I still need to build, but let us not think about that 😉 )

No, I’m not crazy … I am experimenting with an idea.
Not sure if it will work at all.

I like the “magic happens here” in all the projects XD

yeah … and because it’s ‘magic’ nothing gets done, ’cause we all know that there is no such thing as magic 😉

My Soviet Surprise box arrived 😀
    Contents was predictable :
    – box of soviet soliders (40 to be build)
    – metal HQ set (Medic, Observer, Officer)
    – Armies of the Soviet Union
    – BT 7 tank
I also got a few magazines of Wargames Illustrated (with sprues) and a Soviet Winter HQ + support weapons pack.
Not sure what to build yet, but I know that if I want to use that tank it needs to be an early war Soviet army.

All of that stuff is currently at work, because FedEx don’t deliver at a time people are at home or have pickup options like almost every other package delivery service.

I also got a “really useful box” (A4 sized), because it looked *eh* really useful.
Time to execute my plans once I get my army home.

It is Thursday. Still only playing Skyrim 😉

“Soviet surprise set”…. why am I thinking of that Simpsons episode where the sign in the UN flips from Russia to CCCP? XD

oh great … FedEx managed to ship the deluxe board/mat for successors before the actual game (which is apparently still in transit) since friday last week. I think both were shipped pretty much the same time …

If I had been working from home I could have had my orkses today, but I am not … so I got to decypher the address on the ‘not home’ leaflet and pray they send me an update to let me know where it is for real.

Just stand in front of your home and scream from the top of your lungs… somebody will answer 😉 I’m really lucky in regards to our drivers. The hermes guy really goes out of his way to make sure you  get your delivery, the dhl driver is always friendly to the point I think his high all the time and all others usually leave correct “where is my parcel” notes. Maybe the fact that DPD and UPS use thermal printers instead of hand written doctors notes helps a lot when parcels wait somewhere else.

    Also: NEW THREAD!

    [unofficial weekender] Hang in there!
