First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

My Pledge is to eat loads, give and open presents and slouch around. I’ve still got those three ghoul fiends half painted from last week which I might find time to paint, but certainly not before Sunday at the very least.

Hmm, not sure. They are all pretty much done to death now, especially when your work plays them solidly since the beginning of December.

Almost awake from the food coma… I did read through the most of the rules of Frostgrave (I say rules but I mean the rule book as actual rules are only about 1/4th)

Will now try to get some kind of feeling back into my taste buds as my home made tomato sauce may possibly had a bit to much fresh chilli in it… I can see sounds.

too much chili because you forgot to taste it before deciding that those seeds couldn’t possibly be that hot ? 😉

(and for the love of all that’s holy … wash your hands after handling chili, because you don’t want to touch sensitive places … )

I’ve learned not to add more than a teaspoon of ‘sambal oelek’ (a fine chili paste that’s available in tiny bottles) to my chili con carne unless there’s lots of drink available 😀

No, hum, it’s back to work tomorrow. Tummy is still full and I’ve just spent the day building and painting a Roman watchtower mdf kit I got for Christmas.

Hope to finish those ghouls tomorrow, I swear I’ve done some painting, honest.

This week’s pledge is to finish one last mini before the end of the year, and to then close off my 2021 project.

2. Have you eaten your greens? – Yep. Salad nearly every day for lunch for about half the year until I couldn’t face it anymore.

I’m finishing off a whole bunch of individual components for my end-of-year project while holed up in a Belfast hotel for Christmas. I’m also celebrating reaching 1000 subscribers on my channel, thanks to the help of Gerry and others!!

– Now that Santa has been and gone, I can confirm that I was 51% naughty and 49% nice. I guess the big man dropped the ball on this one.

– I laughed at a sprout stick in George’s Market, if that counts?

Have you been naughty this year ? of course. But Santa need never know, so I still got a full  haul this year 😉

Have you eaten your greens ? of course. Every few days, I get a craving for something green – be it broccoli, cabbage, beans or mint vienetta.

What is your favourite Chrismas song that hasn’t been done to death ?

I always liked seeing Terrorvision on a Wildhearts support bill – you always knew you were in for a treat of a show; but as a band in their own right, they’re pretty awesome. So, of course, their Christmas song gets played almost as often as “Last Christmas” in our house. This year, this song (below) popped up in my random Youtube playlist. It’s not an Xmas favourite yet – but there’s time….

In other news, while I’m assembling the PLA-printed tie fighter from a few days back, I started another printer job going. Can you tell what it is yet?

Naturally the pledge is to get both finished, primed, sanded and painted before the New Year. Look out for next week’s post when I’ll be spreading lame excuses about why it didn’t happen…
