Sounds like that no matter what you buy there’s no real way to get the latest stats as a physical product, unless AMG decides to make them available ?

Yes. Unless you buy the new designed boxes all stats are “maybe” correct.

What exactly are the changes between 1, 2 and 2.6 ? Is it more than just point-updates ?
Any way of knowing without hoping the webshops have the correct info ?

1 and 2 are basically the same. For some odd reason AMG/FFG decided to call the rules in the Clone Wars set 2.0 but rules wise they are V1 with added corrections. 2.6 has changes on unit sizes, points costs and some other details so technically (to me) this is actual a V2. But since the actual rules and rules reference books have been a thing since day one you always relied on FFG/AMG providing PDFs

Have you played the 2.6 rules @sundancer?

Is it an improvement, worse, or just a few tweaks?

I can’t tell. Haven’t played it yet. When 2.6.0 was released, the German version followed the same day but after a few days AMG released 2.6.1 and I still wait for the translation. I’m not reading “old” rules again. But judging from people around me who played it it’s good just units get bigger so “more minis on the table” basically.

Seems to me like I need to spend to get the most out of the game, but I’ll try it first to see how it plays.

Based on the prices it looks like the starter boxes are best bet… Echo Base or Blizzard Force depending on the faction.

I also have the Shadow Collective box. Are they mercenaries that can fight for Empire or Rebels?

Thanks. That’s SWQ so 2.6, but I proably have the SWL sheet from Shadow Collective box.

Also got Clan Wren and Jyn Erso who are both rebel affiliation I believe.

I liked playing Inferno Squad in Battlefront 2, so tempted by them.

*blergh* I hate digital only things.
I want actual rule books and army lists I can touch.

Maybe I’m too old or weird or both, but I somehow can’t learn things from purely digital formats. And when it’s combined with a ‘collect them all’ format where unit cards are only available if you buy the unit then it’s even worse.

Well you get a physical copy of the rules with the core box. It’s just the updates, corrections and extra things like “special operations” and scenarios come via pdf.

In other news: it’s Monday, I’m in die office and already my coffee is cold XD Catching up with bazillion mails takes time. Who would have thunk?

Good job that everyone with a decent price for Echo Base Defenders is out of stock today… otherwise I might have bought it.

Edit: I found it at a decent price… and bought it…

My copy of Nam 68 finally arrived today! Looks good. Feels like I ordered it four months ago.

Yet another bit of madness for the forum…. You may weep @brennon. It’s ok. Anybody else, laugh with me and the tactical analysis. Is this something @shayott or @johnlyons might indulge us with a comment on?
