No free hand, sadly; I’m not that good. 😛 I used an old Imperial Guard tank transfer…which was a rather old one that didn’t quite behave to begin with… 😛 I might repaint the white parts with a silver, as the Glover badge is supposed to be a silver mailed fist, but for now the white gets the idea across.

I managed to do all three of my pledges…

    49140BE4-376E-44E8-BBD2-3DD7A13C260A

…almost. In the end I didn’t play SPQR as my opponent was ill and so cancelled, so instead with different friend, I played Moonstone.

Also I need to do some greenstuff work on the dragon and stick him on a base.

Well done @demonsub  And playing a game is a game played so I’d say you’re pledge was fulfilled in spirit 😉

    Thanks @sundancer , I’ve just spent 2 hours playing a video game as a reward ?

Mirrors Edge Catalyst on PS4. It’s a parkour action game.

Ah, that’s the sequel to Mirrors Edge if I remember correctly. Interesting gameplay and graphics but not my kind of game 😉

@demonsub – nice work! The edge highlighting on that orb thing is beautiful!

I’ve forgotten what my pledge was (if I made one). But I got my Pop Minis set one of Masters of the Universe finished (albeit a little slap-dash just to get them out of the way!) and am working my way through the RNEStudio version (which is a rather nice collection of models).

    Here’s He-Man. Yes, he’s wearing braids.

    heman

I could do with some help choosing a basing scheme. I think these minis deserve more than just a splash of Devlan Mud and I’m sure I’ve got some grass tufts somewhere (they always make a mini look “finished” when added to the base). Just not sure whether to go grey stony/gravel with the odd tuft, or muddy brown goop or even browny-gravelly….

[EDIT: does anyone have any idea why this forum makes the images so insanely massive in the posts? The he-man photo above looks a bit washed out blurry – click on him for a slightly smaller (but sharper and better contrast) version of the image (which doesn’t quite show up the flaws quite so much!) ].

Wordpress does “stretch to fit” for some odd reason.  Also that’s “iron age He-Man”. Because He-Man is just the title of the defender of Eternia IIRC. So that wouldn’t necessarily be Prince Adam He-Man 😉

Good morning chums…. it’s Tuesday… I’m still at home this week.

I usually run a new thread for Patreon but, tbh, I’ve scaled right back on how many I follow/subscribe to as it was getting out of hand (and becoming a real time drain just checking in on them all!). So it seems like a waste to be cluttering up the forums with one- and two- post entries. But Cyber Forge are really smashing it these days.

I wasn’t sure at first with their “Shadowrun” direction, but maybe having orcs and elves in a cyberpunk world isn’t such a crazy idea after all. I really like their minis again (there were a few months when I skipped because it was all a bit too 40k-space-marine for my liking, but these look really cool).

Also, @sundancer I can’t decide to be impressed or really weirded-out at your indepth knowledge of a 40-year-old toy franchise! I thought he was “ultra-modern-metro-sexual He-man” not “barely-grunts-iron-age-guy”. In my mind he goes to the gym, moisturises his hands and talks about his feelings 😉

I was young and there wasn’t much on the telly in our parts of the world! 😉

@sundancer ah yes, the 80’s … practically nothing on tv until it was time for kids to go to bed, unless it was wednesday, because it wasn’t the 24/7 shit show it is these days.

I think MTV was the first channel that was broadcasting more than 8 hours per day.
German tv also had afternoon-ish shows with an ad-break.

I also remember a detective series about a couple of guys and a nerd on a boat … not sure what that one was called.
and because it was German tv everything was dubbed and translated.
I didn’t even know that the bounty hunter with the sexy blonde was ‘Fall Guy’

I think you are thinking of “Riptide” (Trio mit vier Fäusten)

And then there was also Hardcastle & McCormick

    @sundancer yess … Riptide … that’s the one.
It was great when shows could have women in bikinis and no one would complain 😀

No talk about 80’s tv-shows is complete without mentioning Miami Vice … although to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever watched it I still remember the intro (sadly the trailer is region locked because of ‘reasons’ … )

And speaking of nerds and robots.
I think there was an 80’s show about a couple of kids and a robot? When I saw ‘Tales from the Loop’ it was that show I was thinking of. No weirdness in that show though.
This is getting very vague … but we may all old enough to remember them with just vague hints 😉
