    ### Start of shameless copy & paste ###

Read all of this before you start as it will save any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

    ### End of shameless copy & paste ###

    Questions of the week:

    • Did you do your lawn yet?
    • Have you prepared all the chocolate yet?
    • Will you phone your relatives?

    Happy Easter!!

    I hope everybodies keeping well.

We are just about to start a game of MCP… got quite a bit of gaming in for the past couple of weeks funnily enough. So my pledge for this weekend is to play a few games. Probably MCP as we are completely addicted to the game.

    DSC_0422

Matty’s Cabal Team (with an LMD Iron Man and a brainwashed Black Widow) sorry bout the pics.

    DSC_0423

    And my Avengers + Venom

    DSC_0424

    And on to the questions:

    1) Sort of, I got Matty to mow it…. Wish i hadn’t, I now have the only lawn in town with a Mowhawk.

    2) Sadly no grandkids at the moment due to lockdown, but we do have a good few eggs for them when its lifted.

    3) Yeah, been phoning most daily anyway…. unless they’re inlaws.

I don’t do lawns. The better half has been doing some weeding though.

I got a few eggs in early and I’m working my way through them. Sadly I will miss out on this year’s version of my favourite public holiday. Easter Monday in Thorntons buying all the reduced eggs. Erm for a local orphanage, naturally….

I don’t phone my family normally, I think they’d panic more if I did. Although me and my brothers have a geeky group chat where we pretty much just wargaming. True story.

Hobby wise, now I have some free time, I plan to assemble my Trident Realms Dambuster. Maybe play some Walking Dead and as usual I am in the middle of a load of painting projects. I did manage to finish assembling Shelob for my Mordor Murder Force for LOTR so that’s nice as she’s Forge World metal so immune to glue.

This weeks pledge is to finish Zacharias ready for my local club’s home isolation painting challenge, play Tainted Grail and then perhaps to start on some K47 models.

Added highlights to Zacharias this afternoon. Full project here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1501741/#snav

    1. Did you do your lawn yet? – Yep, last weekend
    2. Have you prepared all the chocolate yet? – Not got much extra for Easter this year. We tend to have lots in all year round anyway.
    3. Will you phone your relatives? – In regular contact by phone more or less like we always have.

I just completed a bit more research into Celts. This time I’m looking into Celtic mythology. You can read my write up here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1490359/#snav

@danlee some nice work there Sir.

Well twas a good game as usual, very close until the last turn. I won by 16 vps to Matty’s 14. Had he not made the mistake of Black Widow trying to go toe to toe with Winter Soldier he might just have won the game.DSC_0425DSC_0426DSC_0427DSC_0428DSC_0429DSC_0430DSC_0431

Pledge: To get to my storage unit, get the 40mm plastic bases, and finish up some more base work.

    • Did you do your lawn yet?
I believe that manscaping questions are not going to be addressed
    • Have you prepared all the chocolate yet?
I was supposed to? Damn! I think I have the link for the anatomically correct human heart made of chocolate somewhere. If I remember its about 2 lbs worth (about 900grams)
    • Will I phone my relatives?
Very likely as I expect snow for the day and I’d break from Netflix binging to do so

Good news on the base work front. I got inspired to add more stuff and get it all fancy. I’ll be dropping in some broken plaster to make it look as though the structure is under more duress from neglect and try to find some more small bits for light fixtures and such. I’m thinking of ringing up the game stores closest to my post box and get stuff mailed there to keep giving them business despite being under a stay at home notice. In the meantime here’s the next thing that tickled my fancy for the broken walkway.

Bit more work done on the Repulsor. I stopped at the part where I have to make weapon choices.

Has anyone else built one? Are they easy to make interchangeable or are we talking magnets?

@mage, @dawfydd thinking of you here.

Sorry dude, I’ve got 6 Repulsors to build but havn’t even started on them yet (moar Sisters and a Shadowsword have taken up most of my build time when not in work…)

as @woldenspoons has dragged me back into this insanity, a taste of what I’ve been building recently – That’s the Seraphim from the SoB Army box, reinforced with five more built out of the multi-part kit, and there were enough parts left over that I just needed to order some bodies to build a squad of Zephyrim (still need another set of the pieces that cover up the bottom portion of the jump packs, but might  just glue some bits on instead). The flying stands are purple because I put some Humbrol Maskol on. Should mean that once painted I can peel the Maskol off….

As you can imagine all of the SoB work has got me hyped for the return of Sister Stern later this year. I might even strip & repaint my Inquisitor Hand model, just to irk @avernos 😀

Still mildly bitter I sold the Stern model that came with him…

@dawfydd blame The Weekender, I clocked you, @evilstu and @sundancer on the discord on there at a glance.

The front turret can be made interchangeable but so far the flank turrets have to be glued.

    Not guilty your honour!

I’m totally busted…. I hate doing the garden… but I love my wife… and she loves the garden…

    I’ll just lay here and moan a bit… don’t mind me… god, my back…

Did you do your lawn yet?

Yep, first cut last Sunday, already needs another one. Probably do it tomorrow

Have you prepared all the chocolate yet?

Chocolate, what chocolate, you’re mistaken, no chocolate here *hides several Cadbury’s wrappers*

    Will you phone your relatives?

Don’t need to. the mother in law makes sure we are never out of touch, she rings my wife EVERY FUCKING DAY!! 45 minutes on the phone today, going over exactly the same stuff she was complaining about yesterday and the day before and the day before…
Hobby stuff…  going to tinker with some more tanks or some terrain or anything that catches my.. oooh, shiny…

Hello, chaps, long time no see! It’s been a while since I’ve been around, but I find myself with a little more time on my hands for some reason… I’ve been slowly working through my huge backlog of minis to get them painted, particularly my Ultramarines (I know, boo the smurfs :P). I’ve gotten quite far with them, and I may start a project for them, we’ll have to see. As for the questions, they’re fairly simple:

Nope, not cut the lawn. I don’t really do that very often (usually at school in the winter and working in the summer) but there were rumours of snow this weekend here, anyhow.

I am deficient in chocolate supplies, I wish I wasn’t. Not even just because of Easter, I’ll eat chocolate any time!

I don’t call relatives very often, it’s tricky with time zones and I still live at home (ought to fix that at some point…).

Perhaps some pictures later; I’ve almost finished a unit of Veteran Intercessors so if the lighting works I’ll maybe post!

Last night I had a mammoth session of Tainted Grail. I think I got through most of chapter 11. Full write up here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1467741/#snav
