@sundancer – aaah I remember well buying up the magazine because it made the cost-per-mini so ridiculously cheap, I couldn’t resist. Ended up throwing a few of them into an advent calendar and giving them away, they sat in the painting queue for so long! The glitter is a genius touch. Is it a metaphor for the virus? (I only put it on one model but six months later, jeez, how come this guy is covered in it?)
July 5, 2020 at 11:39 am #1546828@blinky465 no metaphor… just something to piss off smurf fanboys 😉 Glory shots inbound!

July 5, 2020 at 5:57 pm #1546930@robert Great looking Burrows & Badgers minis. I’ve got a few from the latest kickstarter awaiting some attention (there’s a bulldog knight that is currently glaring at me from my work station).
@blinky465 The superheroes seem like a worthy distraction, although I do want to see the finished DOTT diorama.
July 5, 2020 at 7:35 pm #1546956@sundancer What did you say about my beloved Ultramarines? 😛
Still having some technical issues with the site at the moment. Nothing has been done hobby-wise, though. Might not be anything for a few days, either. Loving everyone’s work, though! Great job, chaps!
July 5, 2020 at 9:30 pm #1547052@horati0nosebl0wer I picked up three of the nymph’s from the first kickstarter and really enjoyed painting them so when they ran a second kickstarter to expand the range I picked up most of them. The models are good quality but can be very fiddly to assemble given they are predominantly dainty women. One model has separate feet that need gluing on by the ankles, while another had small horns to glue on the head that were about 4mm long and 0.5mm wide. One was lost in the wash the resin stage so I just missed off the horns.
July 5, 2020 at 10:26 pm #1547092I am so over this figure. It was cool to build up and work over but the setback and repeated frustration makes it not fun anymore. I am finished and glad for it. This project is done
Marumba Marumba! Jungle Jungle Jungle!!!
July 6, 2020 at 5:29 am #1547229It’s Monday morning, I’m just about to start being productive (sitting at my desk in the office) and I’m listening to the Cast Dice Podcast Episode 94 when a sudden OnTableTop mention hits me. (Around the 38:00 mark) Only that they said “Beasts of War” … rebranding sure takes a lot of time 😉
Now on to the coffee
July 6, 2020 at 1:42 pm #1547372Are you growing up or just getting older? Definitely not growing up, but getting older with bits starting to seize up and stop working.
Your birthday: do you care for it or is it just another day? It’s just another day, but I always will take the day off.
Do you treat yourself to something special for your birthday or can’t you be bothered? I have been known to treat myself to something hobby related, but I do that all the time anyway.
July 6, 2020 at 6:44 pm #1547484Your money or your life?
July 6, 2020 at 7:14 pm #1547508Or? And!
Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand and deliver…. oooooiooooiooooo…. dang that’s a blast from the past
July 6, 2020 at 9:25 pm #1547553@robert That man looks surprisingly unceltic…and a bit furry… 😛 Fantastic work, yet again, mate!
Well chaps, after a week of waiting, it arrived! New toys day is here!
Cosmic the Dark Elf Sorceress for scale*
I was rather surprised by the size of the box, to be honest, particularly as this cost me less than a similar box from GW AND had more stuff in it… The scale is slightly different to regular GW scale, my brother thinks it might be 32mm true scale rather than the 28mm heroic that is GW standard.
Cosmic for scale again*
Though the Mountain is HUGE!
Particularly compared to Cersei…
But I finally have Grey Wind to get started on the long await next project! I’ll prime him this evening.
Picture spam over now. I’m rather excited for the new toys… I MIGHT have some work done on the project log in time for tomorrows Hooby Hangout…but I make no promises.
*I have noticed the spelling mistake of hooby instead of hobby, but it’s funny to me, so I’m leaving it… 😛 Reminds me of a certain Poloceman from Fronce.
