Negative to be author in news.

I don’t sleep much. My average is 5-6hrs. Been so long since I slept longer that I don’t recall what fully rested means.

I enjoyed Clone Wars animated. Don’t have Disney+ so won’t be watching.

@crazyredcoat to be fair, not many people outside of Wales know much about Welsh stuff!

My wife is from North Wales and I lived there for about fifteen years from teenage onwards and even today she’ll mention stuff from “back home” I have no idea about!

    Wales ?
Isn’t that were vowels go to die ? 😉

    I regret nothing …

And just because we’re in a slow old song mood :

Imagine if these days artists had to sing without autotune and minimal background music … I doubt many could.

    Remembering the before time …

“There’s thunder and lightning and it’s raining beer … ”

(don’t worry … even in Dutch these lyrics don’t make any sense )

@blinky465 I grew up in North Wales, but not far from Chester…so only just. I learned more about Wales from my younger brother with his Welsh history studies… 😛 A bit bad considering my Mum’s family is Welsh… When I use the term ‘back home’ over here I have to refer to all of Britain as ‘back home’ and they still don’t get it sometimes… 😛

In hobby news, I got the basic pattern of my camo done on the Panzer IV. Shading is next, then working out highlights…

@bali Nice, my group has had a few games now. I’m thinking we will have to expand our pool of players too.

@blinky465 those Bloodbowl players are are looking good so far!

@rayzryr Mini’s look good, love the ruin.  That should paint up really nice.

@rayzryr – thanks! I’m quite pleased with the faces. The rest of them? Not so much. But I’ll get them done, if only so I can play a game of sevens against my Orcs 😉

Are your ruins 3d printed? It looks like there’s a bit of banding on the uprights, but the rest of the model appears to be clear of layer lines – it’s a really nice print if, indeed it is, printed!

@crazyredcoat – interesting… my wife’s family are from Hawarden, almost on the Chester border. We lived in Llangollen for a while (then lived on a canal boat, then back to Llangollen, then France, then back on a canal boat, then Llangollen, before sacking it all off and moving down to Brighton about ten years ago). I still really miss the Llangollen canal – and heading up to Chester on the Shropshire Union. It’s about the only thing that might tempt me back. Though we’ll need a few more years of global warming before that becomes even a possibility – I quite like the climate down here on the south coast and all that rain that doesn’t get dropped over Ireland invariably makes its way over the Irish Sea and gets dumped on Wales 😉 Brighton has it’s own microclimate and I would rather miss the sunshine!

@limburger – I’ve never fully appreciated the Welsh language; and while it’s true there are a lot of double-Ls and double-Ds and gygygoll all over the place, they’re also not afraid to throw in more vowels than are strictly needed too. My mum lives near Llanrhaeadr which just seems unnecessarily difficult to spell! (appearing to have both too many vowels, yet not enough at the end).

1 not even close, I barely notice the old writers ?

2 whatever my cat says is enough.

3 I am so bloody excited for Bad Batch it’s almost a crime. Just sad I have to wait until May. Also hope they coincide and release them for Legion at the same time.

This weekend I mostly tried out my wet pallette, minor adjustments to my blood bowl teams and assembled squad 1 if my ARC Trooper units. Just need to work out what I need to do with the 2nd. I suspect I just need to build Fives and Echo with their helmets on

@woldenspoons – how did the wet palette go? Was it your first time using one? Or upgrading an existing one? For me, a wet palette was an almost instant game changer. I’ll never go back to using a plate/upside-down mug/ceramic tile ever again!

As for Welsh, fairly well known I live here and speak some Welsh. More than a none native but hardly fluent.

The names of places scares me to death if I’m forced to say them out loud haha. I used to work in Llanfairfechan and I couldn’t even make out the word in the beginning. (pronounced clan vair vek an).

My first experience with one. Initially I added way too much water and the gold paint just spread everywhere.
I emptied some water out and when I used it again my first impression was that it’s going to be really good for me. I’m even slightly tempted to kick on with some wet blending although my inner and outer laziness probably rules this out.

@blinky465 I grew up in a place called Holywell not far from Flint. Not sure how much of it I remember other than my house was right at the top of a hill. I miss hills. Southern Ontario is severely lacking in topography… 😛 I definitely miss the British climate, in general. Weather extremes here are just a nightmare…though mainly the extreme heat in the summers; I’m something of a winterphile. 😛

Got some shading done on the Panzer IV. Also picked out the road wheels and some of the stowage in different colours before a highlight. I’m planning on drybrushing it…then picking out tracks and tools.

The camo does line up between the turret and the hull.
