I saw this and thoughbt “The 80s had a child in the 90s using high def with all the sexy sax action and fake furry hats” All I know is that I want to be on what the guy in the black vest is on

Some good music and odd visuals

For the sometimes present and ever honored @blinky465  (I will get the things in the mail now that I’m back on track… really) and all those in need of some aural (note AURAL @avernos … keep that in mind with your hard/floppy drive managenent for the C64 you have behind the curtain) respite.

Happy Sunday. Don’t know if I will find time for the XLBS just today as we’re having a house full of 11 year old kids celebrating my daughters birthday… pray for me! Or send beer.

1:1 terrain project almost done … and I finally managed to set up something that could be classified as a hobby space.

There’s the world model expo this weekend, which I think is interesting enough to visit just to look at all the pretty scale model diorama’s. Not sure if I will be spending any money as there were very few tabletop related bits to be found.

ooh … and incoming package. Something to do with a moon and stones.

I will be with the in-crowd sooon 😉

(unless another hot new game appears before I’m done … )

Moonstone? Never heard of it. I think there’s this silver knife thingy related to Napoleonics in the works that a few people went on about. I actually will have a use for the sprue of Late French Line Infantry I had bundled in with spears I just got from Warlord. I did well and continue to do so in keeping my Non-Purchase Pledge. I’ll also be done with something by next thread with pics posted. Hooray painting hobby!

Moonstone is great and really deserves more attention.

@demonsub  Already got the Slaine starter set … and I was seriously tempted to buy the new wave of minis, simply because they look so damned cool.

However when I was moving all my stuff into the external storage I couldn’t afford to think so I just picked Firefight/Deadzone and the few Kromlech Orks as my initial batch.

Of course then I finally got to see Moonstone in more detail and before my credit card could intervene I had ordered a few bits.
I say ‘a few’ … but it’s 12 minis (= 4 crew boxes), the rules, a few extra bits and the dice.
So .. yeah, I could say I am ‘all in’

@limburger Somethings are just too shiny to withstand. I’ve been reading the colour text in the second Moonstone book, The Arising (the green one), one and off  and it’s great, almost like a novel.

Unfortunately I don’t get to play the the game as often as I’d like as it’s been tough to get my friends to play. They aren’t used to the way the game works or plays. I don’t mind, I still get to paint some very nice miniatures. I would love some solo rules though.

@demonsub I’d kill for love a set of good solo rules for this game … (or any game for that matter)

I’ve sort of stumbled on the moonstone discord and saw a bit of the game played on Tabletop Simulator (TTS) as there is a semi-official(?) module for it.

This was the twitch channel of their moonstone battle (every tuesday I think)

The minis are very pretty indeed. They may be out of my league when it comes to assembling and/or painting them, but I simply will have to work on that when they arrive.

As promised.. a completed figure. It actually came out a bit better than I anticipated. Time to pick up the next thing off the Pile of Shame to slap with paint
