The end of my work contract is here this weekend. Ugh! I wish there was more security in doing security as far as info passing along. I’m glad to have passed along my DETOLF to the guy I’ve been doing my commission work for. Less stuff for storage and a little cash in pocket. Time to hurry up and wait to see if I’ve been canned for “not being guard material”. The good news from all this is that I’ve gotten more commission work done, putting OTT pledge minis to the side temporarily, and I’m pushing as hard as possible to paint in my off time.

I’ll have some pics up later to prove the work is completed. I’m not thrilled with the lights in the hotel but I do what I can.

It’s never the big spends … those tend to be easy to track and sort of automagically trigger the ‘too expensive’ feeling.
The small stuff, that’s where the real danger lies.

Ze Soviets have arrived … which was surpringly quick given that I got the tracking mail tuesday.
OTOH … it was part pre-order and the big C happened, so it probably could have been earlier.
I guess it’s easy to wait for stuff when you don’t know when it will be posted.

‘Rattenkrieg’ as a concept would have made for a cool mini starter set for Bolt-actions’ firefight.
It’s got enough 2 sets of sprues (one ancient Soviet and one modern blitzkrieg German), pin markers, order dice and standard D6’s. A tiny leaflet explains the basics and a single ‘firefight’ scenario. There’s one leaflet each for both squads explaining how to assemble them (the same thing in their ‘regular’ army boxes).

Of course that wasn’t the only thing. I also got all the the Soviet army book and the Soviet related campaign books for Bolt-action (Stalingrad, Road to Berlin and Ostfront). I got all 4 ‘exclusive’ minis for the books as well 1 sets of winter germans and soviets. And I almost forgot the ‘Son’ bridge, because I *eh* needed that (that’s my excuse :-D).
