Read all of this before you start as it will save any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

Yay … it is weekend again ?

1) Will you visit relatives over the holidays or stay at home?
The only answer possible : yes
We’ll have to see what we’re allowed to do when Christmas arrives.
Probably will visit my parents if possible.

2) Do you feel “in the spirit” for Christmas?
Nope. Christmas has never been a huge thing and these days it feels like yet another artifiicial holiday invented by American media.
I do miss having fancy food for Christmas.

3) Have you done all your shopping for THE EVENT yet?
What event would that be ?

Another busy week ahead for me…probs won’t get too much painting done, but I have a primed Panzer IV lying around somewhere that I could work on… My initial draft of one of my papers showed a few holes…so that’s going to be an interesting clean-up job…

I always stay home…seeing as I still live with my parents and the rest of my relatives are an ocean away…

Not yet. I never really get to that point until all my exams are done…though once classes are done I may spend a day or two doing yuletide things…

Do we mean Christmas here? I still think of this Unnameable Mess as ‘The Event (Stay Indoors)’… But I did do what little I could for gift getting.

1. Will you visit relatives over the holidays or stay at home? – Visit relatives I think. I should be finalising plans this weekend. Part of me feels I shouldn’t but disrupting the status quo for Christmas opens up too much family politics!
2. Do you feel “in the spirit” for Christmas? – Not particularly myself, but my kids are excited for it which is great to see.
3. Have you done all your shopping for THE EVENT yet? – I’m told we’ve sorted most of it (by which I mean my wife has sorted most of it). I think we just need to get some presents for the kids. My eldest’s letter to santa asked for the ability to turn invisible, which will be a bit tricky!

@danlee – that’s the easiest gift yet. Just tell everyone else in the house, on Xmas morning, that the eldest *has* turned invisible and act accordingly. Shout them down to open their presents while they are standing in front of you, that kind of thing. Avoiding eye contact really sells it ?

@blinky465 good idea but I think she’s too old for that to work. Luckily she has since asked for a bow and arrows which is a lot easier to do.

 

The final two Aeon Trespass Nymphs are completed! Just one project to do before January to finish the list of models I aimed to do in 2020.

 

Resolution 2020: Clearing the pile of shame

I’m part way through another samurai, so want to finish him off this week. Then I might start some of models that arrived from the recent Statuesque Left at the Bottom of the Garden Kickstarter. The plan is to have a nice set of models for my daughter to play with, and these will undoubtedly appeal.

 

1. Will you visit relatives over the holidays or stay at home?

Unless anything changes, we’re going to stay at my in-laws for the permitted Christmas holiday window.  Not sure if that’s the most sensible thing, but important for my wife and our daughter.

2. Do you feel “in the spirit” for Christmas?

Not yet. It’s my daughter’s birthday on Monday, and until that gets wrapped up, I can’t really think about Christmas seriously.

3. Have you done all your shopping for THE EVENT yet?

Nope; my wife has been chipping away at it, but still a bit to sort out.

My final bits of the ‘Black rose wars’ pledge arrived.
The ‘add-on/stretchgoal’ box is bigger than the core game + expansion combined. 😀

Given how ‘The Event(tm) (stay indoors!)’ has affected everyone the delay has been minor by comparison.
