First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

Happy Friday.

My pledge is to finish painting some Dark Brethren Cultists from Heresy Miniatures which I’ll be using as Ghoul Fiends in Rangers of Shadow Deep, a more intelligent ghoul. Then hopefully my Christmas Santa Boris the Barbarian will have arrived and I’ll get painting him.

I’ll also be playing the special Christmas scenario for Moonstone tomorrow evening with three other players, should be fun.

 

What was your last spontaneous hobby purchase? What caught your eye and you went “GIMME THAT!”?

I have three miniature on order from Hasslefree Miniatures after seeing one or two in a project the other week on XLBS. One’s a wizard, one a woman drawing a sword and one a barbarian in mid swing.

Do you regret that purchase?

No, as I’m still waiting for them to arrive in the post.

Are you done shopping for presents yet?

Yes, all done and wrapped.

Not so much ‘hobby’ .. but hobby-adjacent …
I saw a few Starwars Funk pops that I just had to have (the grumpy dwarf from ‘The Mandalorian’ 1st episode) and two versions of Ahsoka (clonewars + mandalorian).
And a super adorable hat with floppy ears shaped like that little yoda creature from the Mandalorian.

Nope and I didn’t have to explain it to anyone either :p

presents ? things to give to other people ?
That’s a weird idea … it will never catch on. 😉

Tomorrow I’m picking up a kickstarter delivery. I think it’s Corespace kickstarter.
And I probably will spent time writing code for fun once I got the tools up and running for that bit.
Technically that’s a bit job related too, because learning new stuff is always good.

I already had the first corespace kickstarter … so I didn’t need to go ‘all in’, but I think I got everything though.
Was a little dissappointed with the minis in the first one, hope they’re better this time.
OTOH … it’s not like you need the ‘official’ minis for this game anyway.

I swear some idiots had their trees up and humming a few weeks ago already.

I don’t have one … and I’m not getting one either, because there’d be no one looking at it anyway.
I think my dad won’t be doing any christmas things either because it will remind him a bit too much of the things that happened this year.

In other news … I’ve collected my Corespace package from the pickup point.
It was almost 10 Kilogram … heavier than I was expecting.

But she did listen. And we get the tree directly from a plantation. We could literally go into the woods and cut it ourselves.. but I am lazy and so we got one of the pre-cuts. and this year he’s not touching the ceiling.

Saturday evening and nothing got done.. what a shame… and not many hopes for Sunday as daughter has made some wishes… (finish watching LotR, make waffles etc)

All purchases are done… finally. Now its time to work on next year. Pundancer, I’ve got an idea for a Star Wars project…..

This week, and last, has been hell to try and get hobby time. My regular job is running 10s and I’m shot by the weekend before job two says I need to give up time which would be rest. Ugh… This has been good downtime and I look forward to the XLBS after sleep. You Euro types are a few hours ahead so it is yesterday here. You in Straya are completely odd in being time travellers.

Giftmas day and New Years are already called for being work days. Such is life… it helps to balance the cost of the Giftmas postage.
