Disclaimer- I know Winter King is not historical but neither is it full on fantasy so decided to post in this forum!

disclaimer 2- Possible spoilers if you’ve not read it and don’t want to know about the last battle in the book yet!

Does anyone have any ideas of rule sets and mini’s that could be used to set up the last battle in the book? Having some Druid rules would be cool too, but not overt magic – not sure how one can recreate the ‘power granted by belief’ type effect druids should have?

Dux Bellorum jumps out as a possibility for me as it suited to shieldwall warfare plus allows the addition of could be described as mysterious effects.

The main character , is said to have lived between 566 and 660 , so I would say a dark ages rule set would be better then the Barons war

Maybe but the character also has ‘knights’ that, mythologically, create chivalry.
