@mage Any more work planned to weather those Killa Kans of yours?
@limburger I can see them screaming about a Death Race board. The only thing is, having seen Death Race and Death Race 2000, I have a problem in trying to figure out the point values for what they hit along the route.
October 15, 2018 at 1:34 pm #1286885Ive just finished up an AoS terrain and objective project, but yes, I hope to get around to them soon
Im also working on some Night Boblins which I have rebased and primed yesteday 🙂
I suppose I really need to get the Finger out and work on my orks/orcs, haha.
October 15, 2018 at 6:22 pm #1287088I’d imagine it’d be something like this :
– one tooth for a squig
– five teeth for dem humies
– ten teeth for dem canned humies …
News says it’s up for preorder next week-ish. So … wallets at the ready and … spend.
It looks like each vehicle type is associated with a specific clan.
That probably makes sense in marketing, but I hope there’s lots of customo-watsits wif dem fings.will smack it wiv da spanner if needs be
*eh* … Orks getting to me.
October 15, 2018 at 8:04 pm #1287100I like that each Klan got something, its very cool and a nice little boon. I mean, six different new units? Wow!
October 15, 2018 at 10:57 pm #1287182October 16, 2018 at 12:09 am #1287193Ive another photo done with another second basecoat and they look better. Have a fair idea where to go next 🙂
I wont bother to take another photo til they actually look a little like… something.
October 16, 2018 at 8:49 am #1287348DONE! Ugh… time to start painting a Halloween competition piece. A good bit or work on this and some mishaps but hopefully you guys enjoy it as much as I do.
October 16, 2018 at 9:23 am #1287364Very nice work dude! The skin and rusted/gold/ruddier metals are my favourite. Very well executed
October 17, 2018 at 7:27 pm #1288484Once more into da Waaaaaghh!
This weekend the pre orders will go up for Speed freakz.
3 war buggies + 1 of the big vehicles per team.
We’re getting preview of the rules for both the game and 40k itself.
And the speed freakz get their own rules for 40k, so that box is both a game and the start of an Ork army if you want.
Clever move by GW. The timing could have been a bit better as we’re running out of orktober days.
But then … no one ever claimed Orkses could count dayz 😉
October 18, 2018 at 4:10 am #1288653@mage Thanks much. The purple tones really popped the gold and undertone to the skin. I was really surprised at how well the photos came out once I actually click on them.
@ limburger Looks like GW is finally coming back to their specialist base again. AoS is a rehash of Mordheim as a fantasy skirmish game. Bloodbowl, Necromunda, Adeptus Titanicus and Space Hulk are all back. Inquisitor, as a single figure badass fighting game, has now been lumped into Kill Team as the commanders. Now we have GorkaMorka rebooted as Speed Freeks. It looks like GW has been balanced to the days before the company bought the right to make LotR franchise material. I hope to hell that they keep Epic and Battlefleet Gothic minis buried and their spirit relegated to the void of the online realm.
October 18, 2018 at 6:22 am #1288657Ive more or less finished the skin on about 29 Night Goblins. Im starting the teeth and mouths, browns (rope belts, bows, quivers) and halfway through the icons on shields and banners. Ill take better pictures later.
Im doing a mixed force destruction army (I already have an Ice themed Ogre army and an Ironjawz army, but this one will be a mix more reminiscent of classics Orcs and Goblins from Warhammer) with a mix of tribes from the various realms. So, I have an Albino Night Goblin Shaman from the realm of Shadow, some regular old green gobbos from the Realm of Beasts, blue cold Night Goblins from I do not know where, and some red/orange skinned gobbos from the Realm of Fire. A couple of squigs mixed in there too!
I need more bases as it happens. I found a box with a small Goblin army in it from a couple of editions ago as well as having quite a few Orc Boyz to go through
And my 40k stuff to do. And Morannon Orcs. And Arcworlde Bayourks…
Waaaaagh!!!!
October 19, 2018 at 7:54 pm #1289338A bit of nostalgia for those of us old enough to remember that 40k originally had the ‘Rogue Trader’ tag line :
And a Speed freak list for current version of 40k :
I hope the vehicles have plenty of options to customize them … it would be the Orky thing to do, rite ?
October 19, 2018 at 10:05 pm #1289373October 20, 2018 at 12:29 am #1289383@mage I like the break down of the clans into color code. Once you get the final highlights on those are sure to pop nicely.
@limburger Now that I’ve gotten all this Orky tech on my mind and knowing of different specialty bits companies I’m planning out a vehicle build in my head. Argh, too many plans and not enough me. Oh, if I were like Dr. Manhattan and able to have multiples of myself there’d be so much work done.
October 20, 2018 at 7:52 am #1289439@horati0nosebl0wer lol … I know exactly what that’s like. I’ve got my Bolt-Action DAK, a spacemarine army and possibly an Eldar team too. I might use killteams to get to army level for both. And now Speedfreaks are calling out to me as well.
Heck, I’ve got shopping carts filled and waiting for the right moment to exit the store as it were.
// — update
Speedfreaks price : 120 Euro official price; I can get it at 102 at my favourite webshop.
The extra vehicles haven’t been listed yet.
