I think the time is right and I’m going to take the plunge at the end of the month.

After a watching a tonne of reviews etc I’m going to go with the Creality CR10S Pro.

Any recommendations for good quality filament going forward?

If you go for either eSun or Sunlu PLA+ you won’t be disappointed. I’ve gone through about 180 rolls of the eSun stuff in grey the last 3 months and not had a single problem (touch plastic)

    🙂

Sunlu PLA + for me. I occasionally try other, cheaper brands but they’re either brittle, clog or aren’t consistently 1.75mm

Have fun with your CR10s Pro!

Good choice. I run a couple of Creality Ender-3’s. Only problem I’ve had in a year is one of the cooling fans died, but that’s an easy replace. Creality have really lifted their game too over the year. I ordered the second Ender-3 just last month and the package is noticeably improved with part changes and various other tweaks like better firmware.
