To be fair… I do like the major characters in Shatterpoint…. Ahsoka and Rex in particular. Ventris and Maul too. Anakin I can’t forgive for his performance in the movies.

I HAVE RECEIVED MY SHATTERPOINT boxes………………….(cue the Tabernacle Choir – HALLELUJAH on load speakers)

I think my packages may have finished their travel here via ‘Pony Express’…….the two first supplemental character boxes, Oni-Wan and Count Dooku, were a bit of “not factory crisp”!  (everything else looked great)

 

My wife had the day off today and was here to sign for the post.  When I arrived home from work She was setting to the side of our large front porch, at the new outdoor gaming table that we treated ourselves to this spring.  Waiting for me to see the boxes sitting in my favorite chair and ready to capture my reaction on camera!  (a gamer of tiny fighting men could not hope for a better wife) ??

 

@pagan8th I too have looked at and decided that the lightsabers look very delicate.  They look great, but also delicate.

I may have to study the possibility of replacing the saber ‘light-stick ends’ parts with proper steel or brass of the same diameter.  Of course I’ll have to add weight to the bases if this change effects balance.

Not saying I am modding……but it’s worth looking into.

@templar007 had the same thought about the sabers. Pin drill on standby.

The thought of balancing the delicate minis so high up was daunting, so I’ve modified the two ‘towers’ to create lower structures using some Deadzone bits instead.

Got my box too.

The first thing i noticed was no assembly instructions, I know Legion doesn’t have assembly instructions in the box anymore but the at least have a little leaflet with a QR code. My german box had nothing like that in it. Was it the same for you guys or was I just unlucky?

Haven’t played or build anything yet but the rules do sound good. There is alsoq quite a lot potential for characters if they use all of the eras. The rulebook already shows the icon of the Galactic Civil War.

One question, the rules say you need two squads and every member of a squad needs to be from the same era, but yit doesn’t specifiy they have to be from the same side of the conflict.
So one could play a squad with Obi Wan and one with Venrtess as strike team or even squad with Ventress, Rex and the 501 troopers, or am I overlooking something?

@iceeagle85 you are correct as far as I understand it with regard to Obi Wan and Ventress on the same team. You must have a Primary, Secondary and Supporting unit and Points Cost (PC) of secondary and supporting can’t exceed the Squad Points (SP) of the primary.

They keywords on the cards at the bottom do suggest allegiance however.

Rules for building squads are on page 17 of the rules.

Thematically… Ahsoka has fought alongside and against all three of her core box companions at one point… Anakin, Ventress and Maul…

All the parts for each miniature are grouped together on the sprue and numbered and they do slot in place (although droid legs and arms can be tricky).

So, building these are interesting. The instructions are pretty decent but I’d definitely change the order in some cases. Like Rex’s pauldron should go on before his head. And Ahsoka’s torso and legs should be built before the arms. But other than those minor quibbles, these are nice kits. Good fit, only occasionally any mold lines and those are minor.
