Site load times

Hullo, I know I’m the worst case here what with using pi-hole, ublock origin and Firefox rather than Chrome but I’m finding  (especially notable on the store) incredibly slow page load times.

For example: Clicking from Be’Lakor to the Bloodthirster, caching disabled; took 23 seconds. Clicking back to Chaos Daemons to the Keeper of Secrets took 8.

I turned off uBlock as I saw in the network profiler that this was adding 6 or 7 seconds, but even then the paypal buttons and CDN (cloudflare, ironically, my HTTPS DNS provider) was adding 4 or more seconds or so.

Clicking on the ‘technical support’ forum itself took nearly 14 seconds. Why, I’m not sure as I’d closed the network logger.

Is it just me finding these page load problems, or are others?

Depending on how the load balancer is working (or isn’t) OTT can be slow as molasses and at other times almost snappy. And I say that as a user also on Firefox and active uBlock 😉

That’s a good point – as it’ll fail then redirect.

It’s a shame as it has put me off continuing a shop as in the time of waiting I could have completed elsewhere.
