    Shadowrun always used dice pools so it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be noticeably different

    In the developer preview Jason states that buckets o’ dice are a hallmark of Shadowrun and needed to stay but Edge has changed considerably and Skills have gone from 80 down to 19 with its new setup. Combat Rounds have been shortened and speed up and they say there will be better integration of cyber and physical worlds so the Deckers can participate from the net in real world conflict.

    I thought the setting was the hallmark … not a mechanic.

    It’s not like it is the only RPG to use dice pools.

    The setting is why Shadowrun is the second longest, continuously produced RPG in history. Only D&D has been in production longer
