@damon White Tiger is pretty much Russian style cheese. Still as far as WWII movies go even it’s better than any of Chinese ones that are pure propaganda with comically evil Japanese and overly heroic Chinese.

When I saw the trailer I posted I thought it was going to be the T34 film

Awesome ! Another tank movie with real KVs and T-34s , So so Panzer IVs , but its got real KVs ! Guess they had to do something with all those tanks they’ve been digging out of bogs and rebuilding .  So 2 new Russian tank movies this fall , could this be a ,propaganda prelude to WW3 maybe ?

I agree, that look like a KV-1E with modular, bolt-on armor, especially on the turret.  And yeah, those PzKpfw IVs look a little rough, but kudos to them for even trying.

White Tiger is definitely odd … but has an interesting … premise.  I won’t spoil the end for those who haven’t seen it.  Suffice it to say it’s not a strictly military “history” movie.

The hero at the end talks about how “White Tiger will be back in 50 or 100 years.”

So now I want to see the sequel.  White Abrams!  😀

The cool thing in White Tiger  IMO , was all the real knocked out tanks they found to place on the train and battlefield , loved the Matilda . They seem to find a tank a month sunk in the bogs over there , I wonder how many wrecks are still out there hidden in the tall grass of the Russian steppes ?

Just watched Indestructible , in Russian , no sub tittles …It’s an  OK movie,  if I can find it with sub titles I’ll buy it . About half was action, other half was typical army life , wounded tank commander  returns to duty , gets new tank ,butts heads with political officer , falls in love with the female mechanic ,and makes the enlisted men’s  life miserable until they  come together as a crew  , both KVs and the T-34s  look pretty good . A few post war bins and wheels ( T-34 starfish style ) ,and maybe a JS style hull for the vehicle being worked on by the mechanic . Commanders hatch on KV , just plain wrong …..  I think they slapped up a larger size turret on the KV  like they did in Fury for the interior shots .  The T-54 ( ?) Panzer IVs they looked so-so but its better than nothing , interior shots of these were fantasy . Didn’t figure out how to link to it , sorry I’m a analog man in a digital age , any way , go to the web site Missing Lynx , go to the Allied WW II AFV forum , go to KV Crew position thread and there it is .
