Profile pic won’t “stick”

I have now changed my profile pic 3 or 4 times; but it never remains.

frequently I get an error message when I try, but then when it does work, it remains while im on that visit but as soon as I return another time, it’s reverted back to this weird alien dude, a default I assume.

the pic I’m trying to use is my Hobbybrush logo, which I commissioned 10+ years ago myself so there can’t be an infringement risk.

Don’t worry. @tgu3 is working at bringing the site to a current state of tech (aka Upgrades and Updates) and at the moment profile pictures are a bit wonkey. It’ll be sorted out soon. 🙂

So the site will become “new & improved” , adding a whole bunch of stuff we don’t know how to use  and taking away the stuff we finally figured out how to work ? That’s my laptop  every time it updates   LOL

I’m guessing this issue still persists?  If so I won’t keep trying to update my profile pic or cover picture either!

The last update I saw from the site dev was on 12th May.  We were told  “As for the avatars, I have a fix working on the dev site where avatar images are stored in the cloud storage. Once I’ve taken a look at image uploads and apply a few code fixes/updates the updated avatar functionality will be implemented to the live site.”  Clearly this is on-going as the live site is still wonky.
