Over the past years I ordered a lot of hobby stuff from the UK, mostly from Element Games. Now that Brexit is a fact and looming over the horizon I struggle to find stores in the EU to buy my wargaming stuff from in the future. Paints and stuff isn’t an issue and neither is Games Workshop. I can understand that the small companies that only sell from their website will still be tricky, but I’m also still want to buy stuff from Modiphius for example. I really don’t want to pay a ton of import fees every time I feel the need for more plastic crack.

So what do other people in the EU use?

Are there any good stores like Element Games outside the UK?

I have no local store, so that is not going to be an option. I am located in the Netherlands.

Personally, I stopped buying from Element Games a while ago, except for stuff I can’t get at OnTabletop’s own store, due to they not being careful at all with packaging and multiple occasions of books getting damaged. They tried to make things right, but kept messing up the packing…

I’m in Portugal, so I sometimes buy stuff from Philibertnet.com in France, and very seldom from Bandua Wargames or Dracotienda, in Spain (though I buy board wargames usually from either Dracotienda or Planeton Games, also in Spain)

I have been accellerating my purchasing from the UK the past couple of years to stock up on stuff I’ll have more difficulty finding afterwards, though.

I have used https://shop.battlefield-berlin.de often in the past.

    Good range and service.

    Hello there,

I am from Germany and I don´t have a FLGS either. I get all my miniatures, games, paints, airbrush materiel etc. from online stores. My favourite stores are:

    1. fantasy-welt.de with a really great range with many products, excellent service and they are quick. The record was a difference of 23 hours between ordering and receiving my parcel. It is also my favourite, because I can settle my orders via invoice. And the prices: Close to unbeatable. https://www.fantasywelt.de/

    2. frontlinegames.de also with a great range with many products. Not as quick as fantasy-welt, but the owner has a good relation to battlefront, should that be of interest.  https://www.frontlinegames.de/

Both shops can get stuff from the manufacturers for you, so you can get almost anything you desire. Just browse a bit in their shops. Good luck.

    Thanks everyone!

Battlefield Berlin seems to be the best option for me so far.

    @amachan
There are precious few webshops for wargames in the Netherlands that I’m aware of.

This is my personal favourite :
    https://www.vliegeruit.com/

Used to do Bolt-Action and Flames of War, but they stopped as apparently the supply wasn’t reliable enough.
They are pretty reliable for Games Workshop (this is where I got my Indomitus box) and can even do web-only orders if need be, although I never did that.

I haven’t used their website, but I’ve seen them at Zuiderspel. They do appear to be more expensive than the OTT store.

I only know them from their physical location in ‘s Hertogenbosch. Not sure how their webshop is, but unlike their physical shop they do appear to sell something other than GW on their webshop. They do tend to focus on boardgames.

Local shop and definitely more focussed on boardgames.

Like Tabletopper I’ve seen them at Zuiderspel / Spellenspektakel.
The website is ridiculously difficult to navigate, which is the primary reason I haven’t used them (yet).

Disclaimer : I’ve backed their recent kickstarter for early war German Fallschirmjaeger.
Like a lot of companies in this hobby they’re fairly small and they’re currently working on completing their kickstarter.

Another shop I only know from local conventions (such as Elfia, Spellenspektakel and Ducosim) . Focussed on RPG’s and boardgames.

It will be interesting to see what will happen once the Brexit is a real thing.
