Nice to leave out the violent terrorists on the left who have the support of the liberal media showing their double standards.  Violence from the left is on the rise I see more stories about violent leftists then I do any real nazi threat. A couple of goofballs with tiki torches doesn’t scare me as much as violent communists attacking people for not following liberal ideologies. That is the real facism that I see on the rise; using fear for political means is facism and that is the left embracing this garbage. I hate extremists from both sides but sorry it’s the left that have been embracing nazi ideologies lately. Going after Isreal supporting politicians who make ant-Semitic  remarks. Pure insanity.

They even persecuted communists and others in Germany during they reign. Does it really matter what side of the political spectrum they were aligned? At the end of the day they were rotten to the core, besides, the far left have a worse track record so I’d be inclined to believe that the extremes of either side are highly undesirable. Food for thought considering the mid to far left are getting a free pass as of late.

@flatbattery Oh I totally agree that extremes of both side are bad. I actually think that both sides are equally bad when they take they ideals to extreme and neither side has any moral high ground no matter how they might like to pretend otherwise. Which is why as sensible person I tend to call out BS of both without any remorse when ever I encounter it. It’s just that I tend to encounter extremists of one side more.

I’m well aware of that but so what? The Nazis hated communists so now I’m supposed to love it? Why is it that the left love acting like if your against communism you must be a Nazis too. Since your so well versed in history tell me how many of his own people Stalin massacred. Communism and National Socialism are both inherently evil.

Apologies for my vehemence mecha82, but the Nazi party were hard Left. Fascism itself is a Left wing concept. Always has been.

I dispute that they were against communism – Stalin saw much to admire in Hitler’s Germany, especially the state ownership of property and production and the control of who worked in what industry – organised by the state.

what ever happened to common sense and communication? it should have been a simple chat with the parents and lad before calling the police. Like most gamers the dad and lad will have a phone full of pictures that could ease the teachers concerns and explain his actions without involving the police.

i realize there are policies such as Prevent but in a world such as ours i expect a higher level of common sense, compassion, communication and understanding from those molding our young ones minds, thoughts and actions. Unfortunately like all professions there are too many  teachers who shall we say for kindness sake need to get a grip and some general intelligence! i am just so glad the police acted as they did its plain to see the false flag upset more then just the lad which is the truly sad part in all this.

Rewatched it back. He actually states it was the college over reacting and the police “couldn’t believe what the college had done” – direct quote from the video, once they had talked to them.

Seems just like it was miss handled by the college, whom were probably held up in the fear mongering, plus probably very aware the criticism they would have garnered *if* anything had gone further

that being said not sure i would stop all wargaming (Sell miniatures etc), maybe store them away for a while – but seemed a few knee jerk reactions on all sides.

I’d say that people prefer to blame their problems on everyone except themselves.  It’s victim culture at its finest.

@muggins the clue is in the name – National Socialist German Workers’ Party.  I am not going to say whether the Nazis or Soviets were left or right because what they both were is “top”* ie. Authoritarian.  The Nazi party and the Communist party of Russia share many common traits, both nationalist, populist movements and neither were particularly capitalist (in fact Hitler’s economic policy was absolutely shocking and designed solely for war, it’s likely Germany  would have lost any war of attrition because it did not have the economic staying power to continue to fight). They also clashed violently with the communist party of Germany before their ultimate ascension to power, who in the absence of the Nazi party could well have turned Germany into another red state.  Scarily we are seeing the same scenes mimcked across the western world now.  The reason the Nazis persecuted communists is probably because traditionally they saw them as a potential threat to their authority.
