I’ve been consuming a few 40k books on Audible lately (and yes there are some good ones). I’ve just started The Bookkeeper’s Skull by Justin D Hill and the opening passage talks of shelves of metal guardsmen. Later we have defending the Imperial palace and a clockwork(!) titan.

So there we go: 40k people do play 40k! Except i guess they’re historical wargamers … and therefore fascists.

Justin D Hill is one of my favourite rising authors. Big fan of his Cadian 101st series and have heard good things about his Sister of Battle work.

Adding this one to the list as I tend to click with his work.
