Good Evening all,
From a 8 year hobby hiatus – to walking into my local LGS here in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, UK – found a hive of activity going on, they had this demo board setup for Star Wars: Shatterpoint – the store owner enticed me to a demo game – and boy was my hobby spark re-ignited and went back home and tried to dig out my hobby boxes for my brush and paint – went back in few days later and picked up the core set and here is my progress so far
from this point I joined in my 1st premier showdown the shop had running on the weekend – which ths shop owner allowed me to setup one of the boards using my terrian
for this I used 2x core set terrian to make my board layout
The next was I choose to paint up the move/range tools as a test to see if I could lay down some paint on my plastic crack addiction
now trying my hand at some of the minis
Then tonight Friday, 29th December 2023 – just finished of theese guys
Well DONE on your Shatterpoint project!
It all looks great.
And welcome back to the Hobby World. ??
Many awesome thanks – our hobby world community is second to none – the support and people you meet on your journey
similar to Table Tennis – as I’am a national referee here in the UK
the people/community is what makes this hobby and my sport so great
thank you so much for looking at my post and taking time to reply
Today 30th December 2023 – played my 1st full struggle
great game very close – one of the things I like about the mechanics of this game
I still have terrain to finish and I already have visions of some custom terrain that I want to build.
Very much look forward to you posting some photos of your progress and theme you have gone for your layout
Welcome back into the hobby! Cracking work so far! It’s so nice to see any game fire someone’s excitement back up again. I managed to get my terrain painted but I have to admit that’s as far as I got with Shatterpoint. Look forward to seeing more from you in the new year.
Thank you for your kind words – appreciate it
am excited to be back in the mix of my local community and fellow nerds – realy enjoy tabletop gaming – now my quest each time i walk down to my local LGS – I try and inspire others to give the game a go as I know once they play a fast paced skirmish game a change from the 40k world – they will be hooked
Welcome back to the hobby! And I assume that your LGS in Burgess Hill is Shrunken Terra?
And some nice looking paint jobs, keep up the great work!
More terrian today
trying different techniques on weathering – till I find a style i Like – used AK Grim Dark on this as the finisher but not sure on it
I really like your color scheme for the terrain.
update to my current setup – for my hobby journey – posting here as creating memories to see my progress throughout the years
