I am reading Gav Thorpe’s Shadow King, book 2 of ‘The Sundering’ and on page 330, we find this description of Princess Athielle of Ellyrion, riding into battle against Morathi’s Dark Elves:

“The Princess sat upon Silvermane at the head of the closest division, her long hair flying free in the wind, her slender form encased in silver armour studded with sapphires. In her hand she held aloft a white sword, the winterblade Amreir, and upon her left arm hung a shield in the shape of a horse’s head, its’ mane a flowing mass of golden thread.”

That is one mini I would definitely buy, even at GW prices……

I’m sure something like that exists somewhere. Try etsy.

I’m watching Rick & Morty. I think someone should make a whole line of those miniatures.

For all that is unholy can I get running tigers!?! No bells and whistles or frills for thrills. I’m just looking to get some tigers to act as fast attack mounts. Finding hippocampi, skeletal horses and spiders was easy so how is this so difficult?

Reaching out to different 3D sculptors has turned up bupkis. I keep digging up “sabretooth tiger” models. The best I can get to anything like what I see in my head is a Not-BattleCat from a Not-HeMan line of miniatures. *gumbles as he goes about to other project stuff in the meantime*

Really?!? One would think that somewhere there would be a tiger, running.

How many bears are there? Bear, standing. Bear, shitting. Bear, charging. Bear, standing, paws up! So many bears.

    But no kitties? Sad. 😿

Would a leaping tiger do? Reaper do one.

I tried to post a link but the forum accused me of posting spam. Something to do with Cleantalk

    Model number is 03668.

If memory serves, 100 Kingdoms had a line of cats in many poses, but I don’t remember any tigers. Depending on what scale you need, you may have to look at cheapie plastic toys, as in ‘zoo animal’ packs or such.

Mantic also had one as well, but it is leaping

And you have to buy the whole set, I think

Weird how putting a link in makes it spam.

I thank everyone for their info and appreciate all the effort you guys put out to help. I continued the digging around and found a file on cgtrader that fulfilled the need. Its a single rigged model so that it can be adjusted as I want for pose. It probably would look better with exaggerated texture from the mesh frame but I’ll wait and see until after the first print.

@horati0nosebl0wer I understand all of the words that you used, but I think it was written in ‘3d-printer-ese’!

Here’s another one, description from Gav Thorpe’s Caledor , book 3 of The Sundering:

‘At the far end, Bel Shanaar sat upon a throne wrought in the shape of a Phoenix, wings outstretched. A long cloak of white feathers draped over the throne from his shoulders, hemmed with a band of golden thread and hung with sapphires. The Phoenix King wore formal robes layered in white and gold, delicately embroidered with silver swirls of flame and glittering runes. Elves showed little signs of age, no matter how ancient, and Bel Shanaar’s face was only faintly lined, despite his centuries of existence. He did not wear the elaborate Phoenix crown, instead, his pale blond hair was swept back with a golden band decorated with a single emerald at his forehead. His eyes were bright blue, alert as Athielle spoke, her voice quiet but carrying along to Imrik by the perfect acoustics of the hall.’

The court of the Phoenix King – what a diorama that would make !

    That sounds like an STL.
