My 2020 lockdown project goal has been to complete my (current) Death Guard army.
The latest models to be completed have been a batch of Plague Marines. Unfortunately, my phone camera has beautified the Nurgle subtleties and the image doesn’t do them justice!
The project can be seen here – https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1582041/
November 17, 2020 at 2:11 am #1582584My ongoing lockdown project is my heavily customized Deathwatch Army for 40k. Every Marine will be converted, named, and given a call-sign.
the latest edition is Brother Ajax of the Genesis Chapter, call- sign “Bookworm”

November 17, 2020 at 11:57 am #1582736So, my little boy bought some Iron Golem models to build while away last month. I’ve finally started painting them and thought I could add them to #lockdownleisureleague.
Being the numpty I am, I didn’t take pics as I went, and then suddenly remembered I was meant to. I wanted to try painting flesh in a different way – no flesh tone paints used – so it’s a real learning experience! Still a way to go before these are finished, but I’m getting there.
Project Log: Iron Golem Warband
My Kingdom Death Project is also here: Linky – although I’ve not updated this in lockdown.
November 17, 2020 at 1:16 pm #1582779Just a nudge to say that if you won in Week One you will have been contacted by now and you don’t need to worry about repeatedly entering any details – we have seen everything and will get back to anyone who entered their details within 5 Working Days 🙂
All looking awesome so far folks and loving what you’ve been doing. Good luck in the next few weeks!
November 17, 2020 at 1:46 pm #1582816Been working on some Burrows & Badgers reinforcements for me and my son’s warbands.

November 17, 2020 at 10:44 pm #1583025I found this free miniatre on one of the (many) Star Wars Legion Facebook groups the other day.
Now, I know it’s Star Wars Legion, and how sci-fi nerds totally lose their sh*t when anyone mixes up their worlds (like Marty McFly claiming to be Darth Vader from the Planet Vulcan) but if you’re going to create a model which looks exactly like an Alien Visitor from a 1983-mini-series, well…. you’re just inviting someone to paint it up like an alien visitor from a 1983 mini-series…..
Hell, I even printed a little propaganda poster and painted a big red V on it….
Here’s the @lloyd shot:
And a close up (which never really does the paintjob justice, as it shows every tiny imperfection!)
I’m still undecided whether to submit it as part of the contest or not. I suspect that for a few of the nerds, it’ll be like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters. Starting from a -100 points position doesn’t auger well for any competition entry! Still, it’ll make for a nice little two-nighter diorama, if nothing else.

November 17, 2020 at 10:56 pm #1583027Close-up image doesn’t seem to appear in the post. Shame – as I was quite pleased with the red lizard eye!
November 18, 2020 at 12:20 am #1583039Today’s progress on my Duel of the Fates diorama
November 18, 2020 at 1:19 am #1583043November 18, 2020 at 3:03 am #1583052@blinky465 That’s Dash Rendar, I’m pretty sure. And yes, he does look like he’s from the 80’s. 😛 Smashing job with the mini, mate!
Loving all the work, everyone! A really place to take a break from assignments and a chance to see what you’ve all been up to!
November 18, 2020 at 1:52 pm #1583158The latest update for my D&D campaign log is live. This week they talk to and run away from a banshee, find out about a dragon, fight a manticore, and start pranking each other.
Oh, and between sessions they’ve realised they are on an 8 day journey with only 5 days worth of rations. I haven’t told them yet, but they’ve just stepped out of Lost Mine of Phandelver in to Dragon of Icespire Peak.
November 18, 2020 at 2:27 pm #1583169Dawn Patrol…SAGA Gripping Beast Anglo/Dane (or Saxon) warriors…in progress and just to a tabletop standard. Needing some spikey grass, minor highlights…no eyes! lol. Couple of wonky poses and shields misplaced. Some archer levies hiding in the back of the shot. Still good enough to defend the realm from the pagan hordes!
thanks for inspiring me to press on with this project that’s been sitting around awhile. #lockdownleisureleague !
