    OMG who are you and what have you done with @unclejimmy?

    Ok, since I’m not allowed to have an opinion, unless it’s everyone else’s, or it’s inconveniently true, or satire, I’ll see what I can come up with… hmmm… got nothin’. It must mean I’m an ‘idiot’, as management stated.

    Another try…

    @mage you’ve done a fabulous job on those speeders! Have you considered sponging some rust on to the edges, especially on the front, where dust will ablate the paint off a fast moving vehicle? You should definitely get the iron man award this go around! Speaking of which, where is @robert?

    @oriskany Thanks for posting all those goodies. I’ve got a lot on my plate but they’re my go-to when I need a break. Well done!

    @unclejimmy the package arrived! It’s like our two countries speak the same language. Thanks so much for the bits; they’re perfect! A lot of them will be tacked to my combat team vehicles! (but not on the sides)

    No pics today, but I’m about to wander off to the garage. I’ve got tons of hobby/commission to do, and zero time to do it, as my English Second Language Instructor course has started… 12 credits over fall/winter, and did I mention I have a fulltime job?… sigh.

    @mage didn’t you paint that pokemon before in a different colour ?

    Then again that critter had 4 different coloured evolved variants in the Pokemon GO app.

    Those speeders look great. The dust effect is just the thing to make it perfect.

    While working on a bit of code I was once again reminded that there was a good reason Microsoft was labelling their new feature as ‘preview’
    Had to start a new project as a result, because the old one refused to compile.
    … I can’t wait for this Blazor stuff to get to ‘release’ status, because even without these shenanigans not having to touch infernal javascript is the best thing ever.

    oh … and I gots my second wave of ‘Joan of Arc’ kickstarter. 20 Kilograms of plastic little men and hellish creatures.
    but I really should be focussing on my orks now that Orktober has begun 😀

    @unclejimmy

    I suppose his old profession has become a lifelong hobby. Would the weight of the metal do that to a house? Klutz, much like many words from different languages an cultures, has worked its way into English. Like ‘Galore’ which is borrowed from Irish ‘Go Leor’.

    One hell of an accident your dad had.

    Head in your hands eh? Bad weather eh?

    Which part of Ireland? Mad as a bag of foxes eh? Did you relate to them so lol

    The Man in the High Castle has been recommended to me before. Might be worth a watch.

    The Roman Helmet is from a MKIV squad sergeant. I wanted the Speeder formation to look like it had a leader without making one of the actual speeders stand out from the rest.

    Maybe the ammo are poops from the bike eh? Daemons and all that.

    What is a pitted sword?

    Thanks! The base is a torn up cork coaster with some blended blue paint with gloss varnish over it.

    The objective marker was quick and easy.

    Nope, no drilling the assault cannon barrels. As for the yellow, yeah it works. It is their Chapter colours from sourcebooks.

    @limburger

    Yes and no. It was primed grey with a different, darker colour as a basecoat and I have worked my way up. It’s a continuation. The original colour of the toy is blue though.

    Actually it is up to… eight variant forms and each with a shiny. 9 in the main games with more possibly coming.

    Thanks! It was just drybrushing on them (the speeders)

    @ceppie

    Thanks dude. I have never sponged nor used weathering powder on a model before and have no idea about it.
