Of course I can argue that the Avengers was crap. I think it was. The CGI was terrible. Just because it made a lot of money only proves too many people have no taste! 200pts. Just messing…Eve and Ernie love those movies and Ernie collects Superhero stuff. Whatever floats your boats.

@limburger – the best they can come up with for ‘aliens’ is a few raised eyebrows? Sexy though! 500pts. I have a thing for women in chairs…

Have you seen a Netflix show called ‘Love, Sex, and Robots’? The first episode is excellent apart from the lezzie stuff. Now there is something I thought I would never say! It is only 15 minutes long and is the story of two big monsters fighting in an arena. They are bio-engineered and they are controlled through a ‘link’ with their computers. The fight scene is brilliant.

Star Trek: TNG ruined it. From then on they didn’t have a writer with an idea of where he was taking the series, but they would just take storylines/scripts from anyone. They show all the weiros and what they send in ‘Trekkies’. Another must see if you like that sort of thing. ‘Dungeonmaster’ is the same. If you watch the DM movie you will walk away feeling like the gaming version of God.

@doctorether – I was hoping to get a few more things that a some movies! -20pts. (a small frown, but not towards yourself). I really, really like you. Hammer, Quatermass…I might have let you date my daughter! I was watching the Quatermass TV version of QatP last night. Stuck in hospital in a room with no TV, but the nurse let me use her Table/iPad and I know it is on YT. Quatermass is real horror. The film ‘Night of the Demon’ is like that. Tense, but it is all in your own head. That is why thick people don’t like it. Same with Prog music. 500pts.

What are your favourite Hammer movies? Mine: ‘Taste the Blood of Dracula’ which is so well acted by Ralph Bates, ‘Countess Dracula’ (the first titties I ever saw), and ‘The Creeping Flesh’ starring Mr. Cushing. I saw that wehen I was 11 and it scared the life out of me. One of the original staff members of GW in Newcastle used to go to a boarding school when he was a boy. One night, when he was 7, the older boys made him and some other boys stay up and watch Quatermass and the Pit. He wet himself during the final scenes and when I mentioned the movie to him (25 years later) he went white. Then he told me why.

I just downloaded ‘Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde’ to watch. Very topical! 200pts.

All the modern horror movies are rubbish. It’s all been done and these movies do it worse. I was told to try a movie called ‘Baskin’ so gave it a whirl. Turkish (I think), but they just tried too hard. I turned it off after 30 minutes as it was just foul. Watching some Police freak out in some ‘house of horrors’ might have been interesting, but this was just an exercise in being revolting. Not even in a “horror movie” way. Avoid it.

B-movies rule. ‘Them’ or ‘The Day the Earth Caught Fire’ blow away any blockbuster. I tried that new ‘Mummy’ movie, but it had to go off when it turned out the Russell Crowe is suppused to be Dr. Jekyll. That is just taking the piss out of me. It is supposed to be a willing suspension of disbelief and not me trying to avoid the “urge to kill rising” sensation.

    2. I am still not buying this. You are just as bad as everyone else…I know it! Confess. You’ll feel better.

You should also go out more and take in all the heavenly glory. Not in a religious way, but in the style of Bruce Lee in ‘Enter the Dragon’.

    3. Doesn’t Venice honk? I would like to see some of the buildings and art, but not is it is humming.

You didn’t mention you were married! How long? What is he called? 200pts. I couldn’t resist that. You have to show us a wedding picture, I bet you were all dressed up? I would have loved to do a goth wedding, but I had to get married in uniform. I did look very dashing in my polished drill boots and maroon beret.

A very nice paintjob on the Warcry minis. Again, not my thing, but I do know a good bit of painting when I see it. 500pts. The standard ‘EM paint style just bores the piss out of me.

What are the things that look like Harpies? Awesome painting on the wings!

You painted those in 4 hours? If you did then I am VERY impressed. Impressing me is not easy. I will have to get some badges made and we can have a club.

The Iron Golems are nice. I love the ‘banner’ guy. 200pts. Would look nice in a Mordheim Warband! I found a few old minis when I was looking for something in the caravan…

    IMG_20190902_204701

I am sure someone will know what the sword guys is. I can’t remember the name of the ‘set’, but it was something like ‘Romeo’s Vendetta’. I thought it was a nice duellist for Mordheim. The Ninja is a really old Dixon Miniatures Ninja. I used to use Dixon Samurai as Chaos Samurai for WFB 1st/2nd edition. They also made some really stunning Wild West and ACW minis too.

I would love to do a Wild West skirmish game.

@mage – those Assault Marines look really cool. Any chance of some other pics? Pretty please!

What you talkin’ about, Willis? Drybrushing is circular…when did this happen?

Nice work on the metallic bits. Especially around the raised ‘rivet’ bits. Cool. 200pts.

@rayzryr – YES! I got it right without looking. 200pts to me.

    1. I didn’t say just TV! Dave told me to watch ‘Stranger Things’ and we gave it a go. After 3 episodes I was bored to death and told Dave. He then told me that it gets going in the 2nd series and you just have to stick with it. I told him where to stick it. Good job it was by text…seen the size of his neck? How would I choke him out.? You would need to use a car to knock him out!

I have brought my ‘Millennium’ DVD’s upstairs to watch. Well, just the first series. ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’ too. I think that maybe the best TV series ever written. No kidding. My grandmother used to watch it every week when I was 8-9-10 and the very idea of it bored the pants off me. However, when I was still in Sheffield my friends sister was over and asked if she could watch it. I said “of course” and sat to watch it with her. I wanted to watch Jeremy Kyle, but I was being polite. I was fascinated from the start. Hooked instantly.

‘Lost’ – I thought that was a joke series? The guy who was in the wheelchair is also in ‘Millennium’. His character was also in the X-Files.

I prefer the cinema your lot make. ‘The Odd Angry Shot’, ‘Razorback’, ‘The Cars that Ate Paris’, ‘The Last Wave’, and ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’ to name a few. Aussie films lack any ambition to be Hollywood like. Our BBC2 used to show them on a sunday night when I was a young teenager. I couldn’t get enough. Then I discovered, ‘Prisoner: Cell Block H’. Could you forgive me?

Star Trek: TNG was great for the actors not having any feeling in their performance. Riker could get my ire working by just hearing his name. What was wrong with his bloody neck? He was clearly the gay character that had not yet come-out. Even to himself. Kirk would have fed Riker to a Gorn just for spite. The rest of that crew must have been terrible if Riker was 2nd best. Wit a choob. He couldn’t have gotten sexually assaulted in a bar full of foreign sailors. My Uncle Jack used to say that. You can forgive him as he was (shudder) in the RAF. Famous club organist too.

What was with all the episodes about Troy’s mother? Was there not enough strange new worlds to explore? How come when they did go to strange new worlds there was always someone there?

I got that line for a real Star Trek comedian! There is a great scene in a series called ‘Extras’ where Patrick Stewart is talking to Ricky Gervais about being in Star Trek. Just in case…

What was the last good cinema comedy? Oh, what /who goes to see a f**king Rom-Com? Unless you are trying to winch a lassie than you have no excuse for stooping so low.

    2. I know what you mean. The cost thing doesn’t really bother me as I don’t buy that much stuff now that I don’t play GW games. I bought some 20mm SASR – 12 minis and some extra backpacks and it only cost £12. A 20mm vehicle is only £10-£15, but you can just use plastic kits. Force-on-Force is not a ‘vehicle’ game. More than 2 vehicles is too much!

I suppose that is the one “good thing” about having a stroke was that my work knew it was initially their fault and the insurances I had payed out. We never really had lots of debt apart from a mortgage and two growing children!

    3. Your own games room! 500pts. I can dig that. I keep all my gaming stuff in a caravan. I want to convert it into a “gaming room”, but just haven’t got around to it.

Electronic music? If it is not Numan or a bit of Darkwave then you can keep it. I do have a few Aussie New-Wave albums that are pretty awesome. John Peel used to play some now-and-again.

‘Crop Dusting’ – I love it. I should send it to Viz magazine. If I do i’ll put your name on it. “Stepping on a Toad” is awesome. It’s like “Walking the Duck”…when you let out a quacking fart with every step. Four is my record. As they usually go down in volume it is like a family of little ducks following mummy. “Bubbly Duck” is a ‘work of art’ that sounds like an really aggitated Malard being drowned in a bucket of custard.

We only get smaller Toads here. Our first Jack Russell liked to eat dead, and dried, Toads when she found them. Moles too.

You would want to be firing towards your target if he is in a car. The drain shot (from the X-Files) is an interesting idea, but the GK is the best position for a team of shooters. Then again, the idea of the driver being the final shooter is a great idea. 500pts. Oswarld, high behind and firing three shots through foliage with a really badly made bold-action rifle is not a very plausible story. All US Marines are qualified as an expert rifleman when they finish training, but even that is stretching things a bit far.

Never played D&D or AD&D! Glad to hear you had a great time with your daughter. Daughters rule. 5000pts. Your next job as a responsible father is to encourage her into a high paying occupation…so for Father’s Day she can buy you minis! That is what I did.

@limburger – anyone else would have been banned for choosing DS9 over B5. Heresay. They did that here from 1700hrs to 2200hrs! This was pre-internet at home so you had to go out and buy the series on VHS at 2 episodes a time. Download it if you haven’t seen it all. That is the best thing about B5…it has a storyline that covers the 5 years of the series. You have to ignore the episode he wrote while ill and off his gourd on cough-medicine.

Well, I thought I was a bit of a B5 geek, but I have no idea what you mean. She is good. I remember what Marcus said the first time he saw her. The spelling will be terrible, “Noosan falani in alay medrun.” Well, it sounded like that. Bits like that made it so powerful.

@ceppie – roger that. Is it the weather?

I hope @oriskany is dug-in well and doing good.

I finished my Forge fiend which was painstaking with overlapping detail of different textures, and ran out of basing material.

Afterward I decompressed by converting and returning to an old shelved project, a toy repaint 9A5651AC-CBEA-472C-B1B9-17B17E06B1544F70BCA4-EAB2-4236-8B31-2CDC9D6D86C2CEFBE30A-9F2A-4DCA-B5FB-40BAAD8E6577567067CB-9C3A-4EB8-A24E-EC2EA8D3462DA481A370-CBA1-4CF1-A3A3-F6B2DD121964DF531395-6F07-4F79-8F08-7D181D2AC9E77F5648E0-53B4-40B1-8197-67A2B9565E0FF10B3D9E-73A9-45A4-93EC-690C9DCD370BC04A1B27-A47E-41B2-A5AE-2BB073F4F2328498984C-D54B-4666-829D-6CA80992E08A

@unclejimmy tv-budgets being what they are ‘human with make-up’ is the best we’re ever going to get for an alien that is seen every episode.

I think Yaphid (the blob/jelly alien) is the only really weird one on the roster. He also had an episode in which he made love with the doctor …
They did feature one alien that was practically a walking dick with scrotum … and true to what you’d expect he was the source of a porn adventure for their version of the Holodeck. Seeing Bortus perfom what essentially were straight copies from a human porn movie was *eh* interesting, disturbing and hilarious at the same time. Like I said : lots of low hanging fruit in the humour department for that series. But then American humour never gets to Blackadder level *woof* *woof*

I’ve never been that critical of where writers get their material from, so a re-themed episode isn’t something that bothers me that much. If it did I’d probably hate the classic series, because that was sold as ‘wagon train in space’ …

@unclejimmy well TV wise I recently finished my yearly rewatch of B5, and rewatching ST:Discovery now. I like a lot of scifi and genre tv, but not all of it. Some of it is awful written by hacks who a ticking boxes for execs.

Venice does smell, but after a few hours you tune it out. The best time to go so it isn’t as smelly is Winter, when I have been for carnival.

I’ve been married for 10 years now to Samantha who is a gamer too (though only table top rpgs). We had a Tudor style wedding in the Palazzo Zenobio, in the hall of mirrors.

And yes still very goth now.

    recent

All the Warcry stuff is being done with contrast paints, hence the speed. Learning new things I can use them for and effects.

…And it is written (by the Post Office) that the new Infinity starter-set will arrive today! Yes. My Postie rules. He looks a bit like the Dwarf from LotR. I mean that in a very nice way.

Unless I have to sign for something I will just try to door, knock and shout, put stuff on the bench, and close the door on his way out. It can take me a few minutes to get downstairs if I am feeling a bit unsteady and a few times I have missed items by the time I get to the door.

Nothing worse than knowing your new models are just 3/4 mile away and I have to wait until tomorrow. NO!

If the Puggies are asleep in the cage, in the kitchen, I lock the kitchen door, but he will wait to see if I knock on the window. I appreciate that.

@mage – is this the new GW monster-fluid range? Not very ‘Chaos’! 500pts. Is it a BDSM MLP?

I do like the sword and head on that Marine. That is a very calming ‘blue’.

People who play RPG’s can be arseholes of cosmic proportions. Why would you not know what you are supposed to know? It’s fine…a GM/DM can suspend time while he reads up on what his character do. However, a good GM might drop a piano on him as a failed spell or just let the monster rearrange his organs.

@limburger – not really. They had some CGIish aliens in Enterprise on a regular basis. Blue skin just isn’t trying hard enough. That was fine in original Trek as it was the 1960’s! B5 tried a bit harder and they were using an Amiga computer for their effects.

Are you trying to tell me that if had a Holodeck you would not be in there using the programme where you go to the strip-car wash featuring Dita Von Teese (leave the bra on), Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Hailey Williams, at least twice a day? Oh, that is my programme…

That is all it would be used for. Picard acting out his flogging fantasies on a sailing ship of old is bollocks. Worf had some good training programmes, but he is Klingon. If you walked in there after Wesley Crusher the floor would be like an explosion in a Yoghurt factory! Don’t shake his hand either.

All stories are the same now. There are no new themes and it has all been done and done so much better. Revenge, love, greed, murder, fear/horror, sex, and that’s it really. Every ‘Western’ is just a Samurai folk tale. Sci-fi is just a soap opera in space and most have a very similar story type to the ‘western’.

If you read a few Shakespear plays you have read it all. If you have seen any 2 Gangster movies then you have seen them all. “I knew it was you, Frankie!” “Hey, forget about it.” What did I miss out?

@doctorether – Star Trek: TNG, and after, just took scripts that arrived through the post! You can’t do that. That is why all episodes of TNG, DS9, Voyager, etc, have no consistent plot or story. They are mostly ‘random’. I dislike that word too, but you know what I mean. B5 had one writer.

He might have previously wrote episodes of ‘He-Man’ and ‘Murder She Wrote’, but it was his idea and he had a story arc ready to go. The start was just to get the background established, but once they started with the Shadows and the civil war it was outstanding.

Ten years! 500pts. Good one. This will be our 29th year married and 31st year together. Your wife is a very beautiful young lady. Heather loves the dress and her hair. Redheads rule.

Fantastic pictures. 10000pts. Not sure about your booties! Thanks for showing them off. The background is stunning.

    Cool earrings!

The ‘Wreath of Barbs’ is not really my thing, but I do love the background. I really love feedback and synth feedback loops. I can ‘see’ what it sounds like…Heather says it’s the autism!

That reminds me of something I was listening to. ‘Crawling Chaos’ by Autism. Not bad. A sort of goth/metal narrative.

You need to try some Bauhaus, Christian Death, Alien Sex Fiend, Flesh for Lulu, Sex Gang Children, Dead Can Dance, Klaus Schultz, Evereve, Nico (good ‘mood’ music), Shriekback, Iron Butterfly, Symphony X, Schwarze Bewegung, and Kontrast. I could go on, but I would he here all morning!

I have both Puggos asleep on my feet! So I am stuck sitting here for a while. I have a butter dish full of parts to sort out…all Infinity stuff, but I cleared my desk to give it a good dusting/polishing. I still need to spray the Traktor Muls, but i’ll have to do that a bit later – when I can stand-up.

Heather is back to work today and the boy went back yesterday. She is going to her mums for tea whuch means I am all alone (apart for the dugs) until at least 2000hrs. Guess I will have to start building those new minis just to survive!

If anyone wants the playmat or terrain from the set just let me know.

    IMG_20190830_142658

Some old scatter terrain for FoF that I found yesterday.  Needs some work, but I still need to make some more.

    IMG_20190901_205910

Rosie came in with bits missing from his nose again! Filth paws too. Then he yawned at me…

…it’s here! I sent the boy a text and he is buzzing too. Tonight, there will be much filing and gluing. However, he is going to Heather’s mums to his tea too. Ha-ha.

There is also new profiles for USAriadna on the army builder. I can’t take all of the excitement.

    IMG_20190903_112732_HDR

I am sure I am coming down with a case of the vapours. The new ‘terrain’ is really thick too. Tasty stuff from CB as always. That is not true…it gets better.

I will build a couple of the minis and let you have a gander and them. You have to be good or I won’t.

A morning where I woke up refreshed and not feeling tired and crappy. That’s a nice change considering how I have felt the last few days. Fuelled by scrambled eggs and tearing into my Death Guard. Told a terrible joke on a 40k group and got flak for it 🙂

    @unclejimmy

    It was ‘Vespero’s Vendetta’

You could argue but why waste your time? 🙂 Loved all the Avengers movies, personally. Im interested to see where the MCU goes next after a ten/eleven year long arc finished. Im looking forward to the Crisis Protocl marvel mini game.

There are various marines both original and Primaris. There are also Chaos Marines (Warp Talons and Chosen). There are Night Lords, Carcharodons, a test Firehawk, Death Guard, tactical marines, devastators, some characters and Iron Warriors Bikers in one shot.

Which do you want close ups or better shots of?

If I got another 40k beast thing, wise words, I would do it various sub assemblies. If they work in game one more would be fun. I have a story in mind for the army and they would fit in.

I want to get the Heldrake and have him roosting on a building, like waiting to strike.

The Age is upsisde down. These ones are inspired by the older era ones and have simliar designs and vehicle modes of the 80s.

The first FF movie wasn’t too bad but everything after it was. The Thor movies are all pretty solid except the 2nd. I would play devil’s advocate and say if they leaned too hard into the god aspect then they would reach grim gritty unrelatable man of steel levels of cinema. There would be no relatability or character development. And I remember Thor being insufferable from the comics and speaking archaicly, almost in a Shakesperean fashion: only rich bluebloods from… I dunno… Kent? Would relate. Or Fraser from Cheers. Or Fraser from Fraser.

I’m an all in kind of guy, I think I will do a Marathon of all the Kong and Godzilla movies for fun while I paint. How do you feel about the Pacific Rim movies?

Too old by the sound of it. Is it MOT time?

    What kind of information?

I want a Bacon Sandwich now. Might make a Quasadia thing.

Mr Mercedes – a retired police officer played by Brendan Gleeson comes out of retirement to solve a cold case where ten or fifteen people were murdered by being mowed down by a Mercedes at a job fair. The killer starts to taunt him. Cat and mouse kind of thing. Based on a Stephen King book.

‘Chernobyl’ is on my watch list now. What is ‘the Terror’

    2. That is fair with the prices. I remember some people compalining that their second edition armies were no longer valid going to third, and when you asked what their army was, they had like, a character or two and five terminators.

The rules hit a bad spot in the mid to late 90s with badly designed army books and Pokemon kicking GW’s butt commercially. The rules have been up and down for years. At least when Warmachine went from edition to edition stuff like spell lists and phases didn’t become unrecognisable: things still worked the way they did or had simliar magic. Psychers going from edition to edition of 40k were unrecognisable.

Shame about that staff member. It sounds like the turned into a spectre of what they once were and did not return the kindness or courtesy you showed them. Disgraceful way to answer you on the phone.

I hear horror stories on forums about store managers every now and then.

A, now inactive by the look of it, youtuber I like expressed a smiliar sentiment compliaing the old Heroquest to the new Archaon, referring to the latter as ‘over –designed’ and something else.

I am painting Plague Marines at the mo and I have always liked the Thousand Sons. Grey Knights I also have somehwere upstairs. I was thinking about their fluff the other day actually.

FW counts. One and a half arms. Since I read that yesterday I have been thinking of taking it as a serious challenge or maybe just one and see how far I could get. One at a time anyhow.

    3. Maybe. Im feeling introverted lately.Certain stuff I do not like to discuss on an open forum: the martial arts thing and the gf etc

Nah, it isnt about the belt its about the standard and attitiude you have. Ill go back soon. Maybe. Anyone is up to training properly. You should go on youtube and see people with one leg or in crutches entering competitions and doing the best they can with what they have. Its admirable.

    Protective gear.

Road sign? That was technically weapon fighting no?

Define close. Maybe pick one and do it once a week without fail and see how it goes for you.

Ive been planing to go to BoW with different events too but something… ALWAYS…. Comes up.

Whats in the current infinity starter set btw? I am too lazy to type ‘What is in the current Infinity Starter set’ into google and hit ‘enter’.

Sounds like some interesting drills you do. Ive become very lethargic and unmotivated lately.

Ah, that is not hot chocco you describe. That is fabled molten chocco that is unheard of in coffee shops. Mmmm. Durham? Isn’t that a vampire from 2000 AD?

Yeah the guy with the mirror was brilliant. I took a lot of videos at that gig.

Yeah Airbourne is very much staying with me on and off lately. I follow Gary Numan on facebook. Id love to see him live.

    Ah, a Sherman. Shermanater…

Send Derek. That wasn’t a challenge. I need help with the barrels. Last time I drilled a barrel ale went everywhere…

Yep MkIV, Iron Armour. Or is it Mk3? Hold on…

Ive been mish mashing armour for fun.

    @limburger

Glad to see another Orville fan. The show is so good.

    @unclejimmy

The Orville is good. Star Trek ey with Seth McFarlane’s humour style. Takes a few episodes to find its feet but pro points: the people are people and normal and have problems. They are not the saints like the Enterprise crew. Addiction, divorce, being a single parent, artificial intelligence (and not data style innocence), hypocrisy, womens rights (being trampled on an alien planet), genocide, religious fanatacism, deceit and betrayal all come into it at times. Relevant modern themes like people overdoing it with social media and religious hypocrisy show up. It is a solid show. You should give it a chance.

The orange stuff drying is this:

And the model I have done is this:

    https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Chaos-Space-Marines-Forgefiend-2019

The fiend is from a few years ago. I still remember when it was new. Cant remember if my sons mother, when we were together, was pregnant at the time but the day stands out strongly in my mind. The new motorway to Galway was opening, White Dwarf got a new editor, winter was setting in, Angron was coming out, I was in my first or second apartment, and new Chaos stuff came out.

Or did you mean the pink pokemon toy?
As for the blue most of the Space Marine stuff from Conquest magazine is in that blue, the Death Guard in green and the terrain in brown, for the most part.

Are the puggos in need of cuddles? Its has rained a lot here so people arent walking by the house and my two dobermans aren’t doing their equivalent of TV: barking out the window at deadly postmen, women pushing buggies, and old people on a stroll.

    Nice scatter terrain.

    Some muzik too.

The always amazing Jayne (formerly Wayne) County.

    MWP is an awesome guitarist.

    The man himself.

Question: as it starts there is someone from a Sci-fi TV show. What is it? No cheating.

I never said “what a bunch of gaylords”, but come on…they would have gotten 15 feet inside my school gates before they were set upon.

Awesome band and pretty good live back then. Ticket price was £3 at the door! I am sure I still have the tour program somewhere. I used to buy them all the time. There must be heaps over my parents house. Then they discovered Satanism and heroin.

Imagine these guys walking around Liverpool back then? They must be hard as Paratroopers!

It was either this or ‘Throbbing Gristle’.

    Very heavy and low.

    Amazing voice and great lyrics.

@mage – that’s it! Vespero…I was sort of close. So, what was the joke?

Joke: What is white and takes the piss? A dialysis machine! Boom-boom. What is white and wears ‘checked’ trousers? Rupert the Fridge! Beat those.

All the superhero movies have just gone too far. Iron Man will come back to life of will get cloned. Remember when Superman got killed by Doomsday? I did like the Mexican Superman.

The picture has some Marines with what look like older style Assault packs – not Raptors unless these are PH. They are painted dark and metallic. Very nice looking too. Is that any use?

Heldrake – that’s the beast. You might be in luck…Dave is selling off all his GW stuff, except his Epic and Titanicus things, and I know there are 2 unopened boxes of them in the attic. If you want one i’ll send him a text? He did a very nice conversion, but he shot it (by accident) with an arrow. Don’t ask, but he was shooting a compound bow indoors, it went through one solid door, clipped the side of the fridge and continued into the back of the house where his gaming tables are.

Most English people understand Shakespearian ‘English’. I will pay for you to go to Kent and hear how they talk. I have know a couple of Officers who talk like sterotypical upper-class toffs. Really nice guys, but a touch clueless when they first start.

Pacific Rim? First one was pretty good fun. Monster films rule. A bit too ‘Hollywood’ in places, but expected. I tried to watch the 2nd movie, but gave up three times. I can’t watch ‘teenie’ films.

I doubt I would pass an MOT. Probably cheaper to scrap me for the £200. I might try it myself! Lola woke me up at 0655hrs by biting my beard and nibbling my ears. I guess she needed to loo so we went in the garden and I was awake. Eve brought Mollie at 0800hrs and we went for walkies and to get some eggs. Then our new minis have arrived. Not a bad day.

Mr. Mercedes = no way. I cannot stand SK. A really bad writer. Thinks he’s HPL! Misery was good – someone on a train gave it to me to read. I tried ‘It’ when I was on a 4 week course and I never got past the 3rd chapter. Horrible and too cluttered. It did send me to sleep which was good.

‘The Terror’ is the name of a ship. Two British exploration ships in the 18?? are looking for the passage through the arctic ice and get stuck. They then encounter some nasty stuff. I really enjoyed it. They are making another series, but it is continued inside a Japanese internment came during WW2. Well worth a look.

You must have seen ‘The Man in the High Castle’?

Someone who I would call a very good friend was GW’s longest serving manager ever – in the world! He lived for GW. However, on monday morning he turn-up to open the store to find some woman from Nottingham HR was waiting for him. He thought he must have forgot about some meeting, but it turns out they just made his job redundant. Cheque and piss off.

If you want to go all out then sit on your left arm for about three hours – then you have 15 minutes to paint before you have to sit on the arm again. I just can’t get it into a comfortable position and now-and-again it decides to let go!

The problem with going somewhere to train is that I have no idea what my strength/endurance will be like from day-to-day. I might get there and ten minutes in just go flat! I don’t want anyone thinking I am going to die while training with them. I might just get another wooden man, a few striking posts, and just get going. What do you think? My dad used to make stuff for us to train with – he can get cracking. He has just bought another lathe!

The roadsign – I was trying to stop two really drunk squaddies kicking lumps out of another one. Then one of the two punched me in the face as I picked up the other lad. Broke my front tooth, but as I recovered myself and stood-up he grabbed a ‘men at work’ roadsign and swung it at my head. I felt it swoosh past my throat then I stepped in and put my elbow in his eye socket. This always has an immediate effect. I was only 20.

We don’t need protective gear…we aren’t going into space.

Close? If you mean close-quater drills then I mean entering – trapping – grappling, but none of this MMA hee-haw. I’ll show you a few tricks.

I stopped reading 2000ad in 1987 so I must have missed that one! How come they didn’t change the name in the year 2000?

Gary Numan is awesome live. Even after the hair transplants.

Around rivets I used to use Windsor & Newton chestnut ink. Plenty of water as it is thick.

I did mean the Pokemon thing! 500pts.

Mollie would just bark back. She doesn’t care what she barks at. Black Pugs are known for it! She goes happy Mondays when she sees a horse. Jamie can’t play RD2 as she goes metal.
