PS: I would like the option to set the amount paid to anything I want, with the current amount being the minimum.

And I’d want nothing extra in return, except perhaps for some of the worry to disappear from @warzan‘s voice.

I’m quite happy to pay more, either via a higher subscription, Patreon or how about running a hobby Twitch stream thing once a week were the audience can chip in like all the online gamers do? I’m very lucky as far as work/money goes, I work in health care so I have no concerns about my income for the foreseeable future, I can afford to put some of my hobby money in a chosen direction and a few more quid to OTT would not cause me any conflict.

This COVID thing isn’t going away any time soon and I don’t like the idea of losing the things that help me to cope with the stress and uncertainty, this community is a safe place to unwind and relax with like minded people and I want it to be here when we come out of the other side.

I have been a long time backstager and I would like to say that I have gotten much more entertainment than I have actually paid for. An increase in the cost is probably long over due, but I understand the reluctance to increase the price when many are struggling financially. I would support the option to set the individual price with a minimum and no maximum. I for one am in a position during this covid thing that I actually have more disposable income because of less money being spent in general, and the fact that I have nearly stopped smoking. If it means that I can go on enjoying the content here on OTT and help some great people keep their jobs I would gladly increase what I pay every month.

@warzan I think that your decision to only sell what is actually available/in-stock makes perfect sense, especially in the current situation.

Besides … my mountain of plastic/metal/resin is high enough already.
I shouldn’t be adding more to it, but I do feel tempted to add the few bits that are “missing” simply because I know it helps keep the lights on in small businesses like this.

btw : the discord server has been a great lifeline in these dark days.

Anyone at OTT willing to sell a kidney ?

If not then of course if we can help to save you….. “in saving you, we save ourselves”….

I really appreciate the respect for the community shown by the BoW / OTT team wanting to avoid price increases and diversifying your income streams.

That said, you guys have been really key to my hobby enjoyment for many years and I would like to be able to pay you a bit more. £5 a month is very affordable, and I’d rather do this than make one-off donations. Partly because I know that charities etc. much prefer reliable income to unpredicted donations and I’m assuming it’s the same for a business with fixed costs too, and partly because it’s easier for me. I would be happier knowing that I was steadily paying a bit more, month after month, contributing to something very important to me.

If you feel that now is the wrong time / the wrong message to even be telling people you’re introducing a new payment option (and I get why you’d be concerned about this, even if i don’t think anyone would be worried by it), you could make the change and not even announce it. Just let the option spread by word of mouth among the community. Let’s face it, it’s probably those of us who are most regular who’d want to do it anyway.

Last point: I would very much prefer not to receive anything extra for paying more. I’ve no objection to you selling branded merch, etc. for people who want to show support and/or who want something ‘extra’, but I don’t like the idea of different classes of membership. I don’t think anyone paying more should even have an identifying mark in their profile or signature. I would like to pay a bit more and I’d like others to be able to pay a bit more, but I wouldn’t like to contribute to anyone feeling that there differently valued kinds of membership.

I pay for my backstage pass using PayPal. You can’t schedule recurring payments, but you *can* make a one-off payment (I just sent a tenner for easter eggs). Mark it as payment to a friend (rather than paying for a service) and make it payable to [email protected] (after all that’s where the subscription payment is going).

Maybe @warzan can tell us if he got it, and those who wish to can do likewise?

Just joined backstage and paid for full year up front. On it helps guys.

I’ve always been a fan and often a participant in the “Centurion” or “donation subscription” program in the past – where you either buy someone a backstage pass for a year of buy an extra one in general and let the team “bank it” for some deserving community member down the line.

I realize I haven’t been around as much as I’d like lately but from 2014-2018 this place was a huge part of my life and I will always owe the team and this community more than I can repay for that.

Is that donated subscription program still in effect?  I can’t seem to find it.

I’ve also just joined as Backstager / CoG. I was going to buy some stuff from the store as well to help support the site, but most of things I was after appears out of stock (for obvious reasons). Not sure if I missed an ‘in stock’ filter on the site, but if not, can I suggest its inclusion when possible?

@redsarge, funny you should mention that, I was just finishing up getting the last few bits for the Great Anzac bikkie Migration.

As everyone else has suggested, I’d willing pay a bit extra for the continuing stream of sanity from Bow/OTT, otherwise I’ll just keep small boxes of goodies as my expression of appreciation. Well done Lads, & keep up the sterling job in these trying times!!

I am willing to chip in just a little bit more a month! For the amount of content we get both free and paid access I think it would be worth just that little bit more to help keep the lights on.  I do understand that it may be difficult to create new content during these times but I give the team props for both shipping promptly  and still pushing out three to four videos a week.

I would like to know who is being ripped off by paying £3.79 for coffee?

    Yeah…mine is never that expensive 😉 @torros

But I’m totally on board the @limburger here… as I always said after the Hobby Hangout (the official one) BUY MÖRCH! or MÖRCH and DICE!

Well I wouldn’t object to the monthly cost going up to £5
