Random thought, but ironically wouldn’t wargames hoarding them for bases increase the chances of them being discontinued as it’d count as them being taken out of circulation in the same manner as the above cited reason of people chucking them in jars?  The Treasury won’t know the difference, just register that they’re not getting banked and this think people aren’t using them.  ?

 

And even if they knew, that would probably encourage them to discontinue them sooner as they can collect tax on sales of mdf/plastic bases but not on us using our shrapnel.

With 66.85 million people in the uk I would say wargamers using them dosen’t rank very high in the stats, if only 🙂
