    @evilstu

    I’d recommend a lot of but not all the FW ones. For my gold recipe, I strongly recommend batlhasar, gehenna and griffon gold. I think one can get tired of a game, system or world that CONSTANTLY takes itself too seriously ya know? Its probably why you get adults hobbybing like us or going to Disney movies without kids, reading fantasy novels for teens, etc.

    Bigger hammers?

    Dodgy filament sounds bad, real bad.

    @woldenspoons

    The Death Guard are suitably gribbly, I quite like them.

    @sundancer

    Rasberry pi zero? Whats that?

    @mage a very small computer. A system on a chip design. Half the size of a credit card but fully functional.

    Raspberry Pi Zero W

    Well, I got extremely little done yesterday with hobby, but I was busy. Car stuff, present for a cousin’s kids birthday, other errands. By the time I got home I was wrecked and just watched TV. Starting up on a Chimaera done in the Armageddon Steel Legion colours. That was it. A spray and a wash. As well as sorting out new hobby supplies for upcoming projects and replacing paints I used. Training also, then D&D afterward.

    Training tonight and a game of Arcworlde tonight. Pics to follow.

    I think I have these LRDG / SAS 28mm Warlord figures finally ready for pre-shipment to the Boot Camp. 😀

    Added some additional elements to the bases, rimmed the bases again in brown, added a little more wash and dry brushing, added insignia, wristwatches, and a few other small details, also experimented with small accents of sand on the LRDG vehicles.

    @mage to answer your earlier question about Arcworlde it’s probably best if I don’t know what it is haha. I already play too many games.

    I don’t think we need to hear my gold recipe again. Although I have managed to acquire several pots of retributor gold… ?

    About three hours left then it’s time to call this thread done and pass out prizes. Is somebody going to volunteer to host next week?

    @mage bigger hammer may have been an easy way of saying trying to get a 0.3mm inch ling acupuncture needle into the pointy end of a nozzle from underneath with a similarly sized hole that was heated to 220 degrees Celsius and ready to spurt out heated plastic. good times 🙂 It is working better now though…

    @sundancer Raspberry Pi modded terrain sounds fun 🙂 I wish I had the skill sand patience to implement something like that!

    @oriskany LRDG look great! Really inspiring stuff.

    @woldenspoons I can’t host next week but I can do the week after if that works for people?

    @evilstu biggest problem is power… don’t want a cable to come out from it. But powerbanks tend to cut power if not used properly… I’ll still thinking on that 😉

    Ok. And that is thread called. Awards when I get home in a couple of hours and if nobody comes to the rescue I will quickly rack my brain for more questions and start the new one.

    OK team, a quick tally-up reveals that this weeks overall winner was @mage, followed by @sundancer and @biggabum in 3rd spot.  Awards for the week as follows:

    MVP: @mage for being continually engaged, giving great feedback, interacting and an obscene amount of hobby progress.

    Fire Starter: @woldenspoons thanks for hosting champ!

    Hobby Champ: @sundancer

    Meme lord: @mage You really went all out buddy!

    Pun-Tertainment: @tuffyears crept in and out in his kick bottom truck and ran out with the prize. Who you gonna call?

    Brush licker: @Oriskany for some catalogue quality figures in a scale he’s not used to and for getting them all done in spite of initial problems and the upcoming boot camp

    Headline DJ: @evilstu great mix. Although Elvis Come As You Are by @mage sent me to Nirvana.

    Armchair Commander: @biggabum

    Community usher: @evilstu

    Storyteller: @biggabum Earned it for BMG alone but Wild West Exodus tipped you over the edge. @oriskany in 2nd for some great history lessons.

    The winner of the answers goes to: @sundancer for Robin Williams, @mage for Stephen King and @oriskany all fiiiiiiiine choices.

    @lancorz would be grateful if you could allocate the points evenly as per the above

    Thanks so much to everyone for joining in when you could and hope to see you all in the next thread soon

    I meant to do a bunch of replies on this earlier but the day escaped me. I have my son up for a visit tomorrow for the weekend before he goes back to school. I’d kinda prefer not to do a weekender thread this weekend and would prefer to maybe host the following weekend instead if thats cool?

    Hobby Champ? Me? But but but…. why? I don’t really feel like I did anything… not much more than posting some old pictures and a little terrain stuff… thank you 🙂

    And congratulations to everybody.

    Well done one and all . Some great looking projects and some inspiring paint jobs . Personally I just wasted a four day holiday weekend watching the full box set of Allo Allo , and starting on series one of Dad’s Army ( actually a great weekend ) . Oh , the things I had planned to accomplish ….. maybe this weekend
