    @limburger Thanks for the advice, mate. I kind of figured that English is fairly commonly understood there, but I hate being THAT English tourist that just expects everyone to use my language all the time. 😛 I also really like language, even if I’m still only fluent in one at the moment. 😛

    @crazyredcoat you’d be shocked how many people move to Wales and are disgusted that the Welsh speak Welsh. Its a real thing.

    I’ve only visited Dublin so Amsterdam would, in more ways than one, blow my mind.

    Those Arbites literally made me think ‘I’ve finally found my Necromunda gang!’. It’s quite popular near me.

    Hobby wise I guess I should continue with Hellboy. I’m waiting on contrast paints to do the German contingent though.

    @woldenspoons I grew up in Wales, so that wouldn’t surprise me too much. 😛 Not a fan of the language, though. It was the first language other than English that anyone tried to teach me… My younger brother can speak it fairly well, though. I can swear in 6 languages, but the closest I’ve ever come to fluent in another language is Norwegian, but I’m still learning. Languages are hard when you can’t practice with people… 😛

    It’s a bit out of season, but this is my favourite Dutch song I’ve found thus far.

    Still not dead yet and thankful for the feedback last thread. I’m looking at possibly the next 4 months of being non stop work as my new job has been assembling explosives for the mining industry. The money is good but the hours are long at two weeks on and then a weekend off. I might need to go on special assignment running material to the oil fields 5 hours away and then back again from time to time. We’ve got people going on assignment and the shop will be short staffed. The OT will be great but I’m not keen on the lack of hobby time.

    I will admit defeat in the face of the latest Kickstarter for Raid on the Temple of Serpents. I have pledged enough for a full blown army which I will now be able to afford (barely). This will be a full year project if my work schedule stays near to what it will be for a while. I also plan on getting some of the Warcolours transparent paints though I’ve debated on the Secret Weapon washes. The former wins over the latter as far as cost without shipping and I’ll make certain to do a full report from a lengthy project setup. In the meantime I am behind on my 2019 pledge and need to catch up on that after the Spring Clean. By the by I added some of the Army Painter tufts and the Freelance Knight pops so much more. I’ll get pics soon enough when I have the desk cleared, my wall mounted gear is set up and the lighting sorted. I just picked up my old dresser from the house I moved from and have yet to get a comfy desk chair into the new place…. Allen wrench is a must for that in order to break it down and fit in my car. Being minimalist is good for being mobile though I’ve considered investing in a tiny home after my cat passes away and building myself a workshop home in order to be a true Santa Claus for the miniature community. Metric tons of minis purchased from time to time and able to ship them globally? Methinks I’m a prime candidate for sainthood in that respect. Watch out Gerard Butler! There’s going to be more than one member to the Order of the Anointed Brush! Perhaps the name might be better as the High Falutin’ Order of Gaming Hobbyists? Grand Order of Gamers? Mildly Mischevious Society of Tabletop Gamers? What do you lot think?

    @warzan Would those work for names of the cult?

    @limburger the old Arbites were probably the first models I painted and actually thought, “bloody hell, this paint job looks good” back when they came out and I was a spotty teenager, so they have a soft spot in my heart.  I was never into Judge Dread but I loved these, despite the obvious inspiration.  The new models are great sculpts but given how much the old ones mean to me, there was a pang of disappointed given how little of the old sculpts got recycled but understand the reasons why they didn’t.  I was really excited for these as GW have made a great job of bringing all the awesome models I remember from my youth back but with a modern twist.  I still have a squad of Arbites somewhere in the stash, but my painted ones were sold in the early 00s.

    @crazyredcoat that’s probably my favourite Christmas themed song ever.
    Especially the dark bit at the end …

    (no English subtitles 🙁 )

    @horati0nosebl0wer explosives ? *eep* … and *awesome* … stay safe.
    I shall remember not to say bad things about a man who can assemble explosives for a living. 😉

    big bada boom indeed.

    @sundancer yes it is real. They even have a weekender video … it is a re-run, but we’re not stuck in a groundhog day loop.
    If that’s what you’re thinking 😀

    Hey guys. Was like a zombie, kinda, most of yesterday after the gym.

    @dawfydd <10 points>

    It was a good enough snooze.

    Hope you get the painting done. Crapped out?

    Best of luck with the surgery. Sounds scary AF. Looking forward to seeing your work on your Raptors. Did you get a good deal on ebay?

    Godzilla is something I want to see. Maybe next week.

    10 points for the pledge.

    @robert <10 points>

    A good way to break the block would be to set up a work area, take a picture of what you are about to work on, and let us berate you into working on them.

    10 points for the pldge.

    @sundancer <10 points>

    I’ve always found Dork Tower contrived and not very good. Doesen’t help I heckeld Kovalic once at a con.

    @mage I love his work and style. Never had the chance to interact with him personally.

    @limburger but a rerun is a loop! IT’S GROUNDHOGDAY ALL OVER AGAIN!

    I didn’t do any hobby yesterday but watched the first to episodes of “Good Omens”. They are good.

    @crazyredcoat <20 points>

    It’s always dinner time for me 😉

    Vague but a pledge is a pledge. 10 points.

    I love Horus Heresy and have a bunch of assembled and primed armies I have not done yet. Maybe we could get a group thread going on it and post stuff up? Conversion is awesome. 10 points.

    The character set is going to be released for them in an upcoming Conquest magazine.

    @robert <15 points>

    I used to get up on a Saturday morning and more or less go straight to Hapkido training. It sucked butt, so nope, haha.

    10 points for feedback to others

    5 points for agreeing with me about the Arbites.

    @limburger <20 points>

    10 points for the pledge. Enjoy the event.

    Wow they have run out of ideas. I think a company can get too big and be more profit driven than actually focus on being creative, giving leeway to their staff and letting them make the best damn project they can.

    The enforcers are nice but look too marine-ey. I miss the older Arbites models and the less old Enforcers from the 2000s.

    A lot of nice new stuff though.

    10 points for feedback to others.

    @sundancer

    I didn’t interact with him directly. I interrupted him hosting a convention auction with a zinger across a crowded pub, that just happened to fall silent as I blurted out my remark.

    Its odd how I go for so long and stuff devolved into Welsh language discussion and Dutch music.

    Hm. Need to think up questions…

    Awesome paint job! 75 points. I love it. Have you done much else with the army.
