Okay I believe I am all caught up and hope I did not miss anything.

Only six more hours of the night shift to go. Hopefully President Trump visiting Ireland (the airplane he flies into is directly between work and home) wont affect me getting home.

Four days off! It is needed. Im gonna finish assembling the Chaos side of Shadowspear and if it does not rain, prime them. Im also gonna try and finish my Hellblasters. Its optimistic and I probably wont, but I intend on making a lot of progress. As well as put together a new character for the Coriolis RPG.

I got the metal on all the bits and shaded. Waiting for it to dry then, maybe, tomorrow I will get it highlighted and the black casings and leather added in. After that it is, basically, small details like trim and purity seals. I do have stuff I should be doing tomorrow, though…which I may not do.

Have an evening song to close up the day before bed, maybe. I don’t sleep much. 😛

@mage Raven Guard. Don’t see them often for an original Legion.

Question 1: What do you feel is an iconic language from fiction, fantasy, or science fiction and why?

The language of Mordor. Engraved in the One Ring. The effect when Gandalf uses it at the home of Elrond. Tolkien and languages. It’s a thing.

Question 2: How do you feel about ‘Common’, ‘The Common Tongue’ or ‘Galactic Common’ being used as a language in games or fiction? Is it lazy now? Is it cliché? Or classic?

I like it when it’s well explained. Stargate was because all humans universe wide originated on earth. Green Lanterns ring. Certainly a better translator than Google translate. But it does make it a decent plot point or shock when something comes that it can’t translate. The Indigo Lanterns rings spring to mind. Nok.

Question 3: Do you listen to music while you hobby? If so, what do you listen to specifically for hobby? And if not, why?

I listen to music while painting sometimes but it can be almost random what I choose.

@mage your chaos dudes look like they will be a PITA to be painted when fully assembled…. all those little nooks and crannies. Wouldn’t partial assembly be more efficient? At least for priming and base colours?

Ill be waiting a while til I use contrast paints. Wanna see what people do and how they turn out after a few months on the market.

I think I’ll not be using those. The need of special primer and being non-water-dilutable… If I should ever again play some mass army system I may be tempted more just for ease of use but at my current level of hobby I’m good with the classic method 😉

Still excited what people will be able to do with the new paints.

It will be interesting to see how they go over other brands and types of primer/base coats.  Also would like to see how they work over a gloss or satin varnish, as i wonder if that would make the highlights more extreme.
