    ‘On the cards’ and Malifaux is surely a deliberate pun?

    @biggabum I swear you play even more games than I do. Good man.

    @horati0nosebl0wer If I can find a large enough Gonzo I can proxy him as a lord of change. Perfect!

    To whomever was talking about warhammer 40k and historical settings GeeDubya have released many of these so I’m confused? Forge World produce many, just look at Horus Heresy. Also there were books released for Apocalypse with historical forces. You should also check out the new Vigilus book that is released next week.

    @woldenspoons Na I never pun deliberately Sir 😀

    Well due to space restrictions the wife has allowed me to collect stuff for five games and these are: Wild West Exodus, Batman Miniatures Game. Bolt Action, Warmachine, Malifaux, Dropzone Commander, Saga, Walking Dead All Out War, Zombicide, Blood Bowl, Dreadball, X wing, Monsterpocalypse, Flames of War (we rarely play because its a little complicated for Matty)…. errrm yeah I have a little problem with my hearing…. What the wife actually says isnt what I actually hear 😀

    Wife: “We only have room for you to collect Five small games”

    I Hear: “Go ahead get what you want, money no object, the new kitchen can wait”

    @biggabum as I don’t collect enough games myself I was looking at starting Flames of War. I know some locals play it so always a chance of a game. Does it depend on what period you collect or can you pretty much up where you like?

    It’s funny as I have a reasonable sized dropzone commander army but to my regret I’ve never managed to get a game. I should probably move them on.

    As it’s getting near Christmas I’m remembering the reason for the season and working out what I am going to buy for myself ?. Top of my list, if it’s not Flames of War, is Blackstone Fortress. How about the rest of you?

    *rumbling attic noises*

    Still waiting on the parts for my SW:L royal honour guard. And much preparations for Christmas (wife and daughter)

    But I have a motto 😉

    Though I like the older speedier stuff more, this is an absolute classic

    @woldenspoons (40 Gil)

    Glad you got your mojo back! I’ve had no time for hobby the last four or five days. I kind of need it now as a therapeutic thing. You’ve assembled a lot. 10 Gil. Best of luck moving forward, I cannot wait to see the results.

    (1)   Tell us a wargames funny story! An old war story with some mirth, silliness, stupidity or sadness!

    They were terrible ish back then, yeah. Haha, fortitude. Dg’d you both? 5 Gil.

    (2)   Tell me your experience with campagins/narrative play. I have some with Mordheim.

    I fondly remember the Dark Shadows Campagin, set on Albion with Truthseekers, Fenn Beasts and Dark Emmisaries. Finished top? Awesome. 15 Gil. I like that story.

    (3)   Name a game setting you like and why?

    10 Gil. The old world, while I liked it, was limited. They could have tweaked it a little but too little too late now sadly. I like the open endedness of AoS. Not restructive by its own world.

    Hm, Kharadron luxury liners…

    @horati0nosebl0wer (30 Gil)

    10 Gil for responses to others. I like too that Malifaux has no clear lines and also found the Ramos crew to my taste. Their Nightmare edition stuff is so cool.

    Interesting responses and views. 20 Gil.

    20 Gil for the awesome Njal Stormcaller.

    @elessar2590 (10 Gil)

    Damn that’s a beautiful table, and armies too I think from squiting at the pics. So you had such a good time you ordered an army? Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it.

    How finished are your Bolt Action French?

    10 points for the dust minis. What range is the IS2 from?

    @matador84 welcome to the thread 🙂

    5 Gil for the info on epoxying.

    @evilstu (30 Gil)

    20 points for detailed responses.

    As for Mordheim, I shall convert my own Sisters out of GW current plastics. I shall not say more. Two games were played, I took some but not many photos (one of the guys is particularly camera shy). I hope to get more games in as time goes by with people. It was a funy day. We ordered pizza after the first game, ate it half way through the second and then had cake (baileys snickers cheesecake) before the second ended. That was our day.

    They’ve made six seasons of Vikings already? Mercy…

    Interesting take on sportsmanship with tournaments and not declaring a winner.

    10 points for assembling and priming your minis.

    Ok I am almoooost done with page 2. Heading away for a while, be back soon.

    @biggabum (15 Gil)

    Im glad the orcs survived. Linear can be good as it doesent get restricted by certain outcomes, especially if something different comes up that does not quite fit.

    10 Gil for responses to others and 5 for the info on campagins in WWX.

    @limburger (25 Gil)

    Woo! Welcome back! You seem to have a lot to read through…

    Wave 2 Star Saga? Cool! Send pictures.

    IT is always KS season with you. Darksousl 2 as well?

    (1) Tell us a wargames funny story! An old war story with some mirth, silliness, stupidity or sadness!

    So your kick-butt Mortar Team who shone like a diamond got torn a new one by a monkey? Hilrious! Glory and survival snatched from the jaws of victory! 10 Gil.

    (2) Tell me your experience with campagins/narrative play. I have some with Mordheim.

    A shame! 5 points.

    (3) Name a game setting you like and why?

    I have to say the game is tempting me lately. 10 Gil.

    I swear @sundancer has a real name and it’s “beetlejuice” …

    Lots of reading and not enough daylight 🙁

    I really need to find my hobby rythm and organise may mountain of plastic, resin and metal.

    @biggabum : she said small games … nothing was said about big games, which makes it technically correct.

    And we all know that is the best kind of correct 😉

    Hopefully I can get around to page 3 soon. I was not feeling great after work. Some stuff arrived for me in the mail: A Mordheim Warlock from ebay, some plastic GW zombies (also for Mordheim! They will be assembled as is, based on pics in the rulebook and converted) and brushes. Also a GW technical paint.

    So, I am doing a volcanic base on my Boba Fett. The Stirland Battlemire is drying on his base, and other models are being made. Its feeling mildly cathartic, or rather therapeutic. Im really happy and excited to do Mordheim stuff again and assembling stuff. Im coming back to painting shortly with finishing off my escape from Goblin Town set (which is mostly done!).

    #1310360

    AHAHAHAHA! He has been summoned! Awaken!

    Thinking about Dune and metal music

    Now a different kind of Dune..

    Now this one is not recommended for anybody with epilepsy

    Thinking about it he’s more like a Pokemon.. these are a little trippy as well

    All hail Dethklok \oo/

    @marvolichko hey, welcome 🙂

    @limburger don’t know how you find the time to tackle all those rule books. How does the Star Saga stuff look? I got some of the mantic sci fi furniture and it was pretty nice actually. I’m curious to hear what your opinion is on the rest of the components.

    @horati0nosebl0wer now I have a mental image of @sundancer getting called all 80’s Godzilla style to reign puns down on cartoon Tokyo…

    Poor Pikachu – I can’t quite show my 8 year old nephew that… yet… 🙂

    @biggabum glad you have managed to contain your gaming down to the top 5 systems like that – it shows a great deal of restraint on your part in this time of many shiny games 🙂

    @mage you sound busy as always – hope you’re back on track after the weekend 🙂 Have you rewarded yourself and bought any shiny birthday loot? I get people not wanting to be in photos on the interwebs so no stress – TBH we’re pretty much just focused on the tabletop anyhow 🙂

    @woldenspoons or you could just play 3rd edition 40k? that counts as historical, right? 😛 /ducks

    @sundancer Nah you’ve got it all wrong – the sleeper should stay asleep because sleep is great. Unless the awakening is followed shortly by coffee, then I guess the awake bit is all good…
