    1) Host it is cool

    2) Understood, more practical from a technical standpoint.

    I’ll focus now on awarding titles to people.

    Okay, here is my best crack at this. A lot of these could apply to multiple people, but my choice is my choice.

    ·         Most Valuable Player (most engaged with topic) – I’m picking @dawfydd for this. He always answers follow up questions on his posts and answers, posts links and pictures of stuff people ask about and posts consistently (with the Transformers and Codex Compliant Youtue video as examples).

    <40 points>

    ·         Fire Starter – @mage myself, since I started the topic (topic starter, encourages the member circulation)

    <30 points>

    ·         Hobby Champ – @biggabum for finishing Deadshot, Bane, Batgirl, Nighting, and the bones if not all of his bane crew, as well as assembling his Joker crew, hands down imho (most hobby over the weekend)

    <70 points>

    ·         Meme Lord (ryhmes, funnies & memes) – someone did post a single meme, but this is gonna go to @biggabum for Mattie’s Zombie prep for the Blood Moon. Good fun!

    <40 points>

    ·         Pun-Tertainment (best pun) @limburger for his pun.

    <40 points>

    ·         Brush Licker (painting & terrain) – @a27cromwell for both painting and terrain with those foliage, hidden weapon style BA Japanese

    <60 points>

    ·         Headliner DJ (most eclectic music) – I’m going to be very cheeky here, and pick myself, purely because other people don’t post enough music. From this thread, to the last few threads, music has died more and more on the weekender. If I do this, I’m hoping to get people more competitive for this away. So there!

    ·         Armchair Commander (weekend battle reports) – @tuffyears for the 40k battles & @torros for his historical game, awesome visually.

    <30 points for @torros > <30 points for @tuffyears >

    ·         Community Usher (helpful & engaged) – @evilstu @limburger @a27cromwell @dawfydd could all have this applied to them. I’ll go with @evilstu this week

    <80 points>

    ·         Storyteller (weekly discussion & story) – @limburger for his write-up and thoughs on kill team

    yay more points and awards to prove I’ve got no life except here 😉

    Great job as always @mage and everyone else of course … it’s not much of a pub friendly gathering of geeks without you lot.

    Oh sweet! As Rodimus might put it:

    c28

    Thanks as ever @mage for hosting and keeping everyone engaged 🙂 and fair does to everyone else for getting involved, and I second @limburgers sentiment ;D

    Just to answer some of @mages questions:

    The Heroines box is one of two alternatives Asset Drop offer alongside their monthly Core Supplies box (as unboxed by the indomitable Mr Lyons a few months ago). Instead of the focus on a selection of paints and hobby  goodies, the Heroines box offers up a nice female mini (or two), a resin base, some basing goodies (ammo shells and the such like) and a set of paints for a very specific part of the model supplied, along with a little hobby booklet offering up some background on the model, were the components came from and ideas for using the items included. Not bad really 🙂

    As to Andromeda in  Infinity she is one of the heroes of the Homeride, the elite warriors of Alephs Assault Sub-Section(otherwise known as the Steel Phalanx). Andromeda’s full title is that of Sophiste of the Steel Phalanx, and amongst the likes of Achilles, Penthesilea, Hector, Ajax, Thrasamydes Phoenix & Patrocles stands out as  not being a smash-face combat monster, but instead filling the archetype of The Spy

    Two interesting little asides –

    First that beast that accompanies her? Cestus? yeah he normally takes the form of a briefcase Andromeda carries on her at ll times O_o

    Second in mythology Andromeda is the princess who eventually marries the hero Perseus. And Perseus exists now in the Infinity universe as he is a member of the recently released Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska, described as a “Rogue Myrmidon”. Now  I’m  not saying anything but Corvus Belli tend not to just throw these sorts of names out there for jollies….

    Other stuff I thought to mention:

    Just saw Ant-Man and The Wasp – awesome  film.  After the weight of Infinity War scaling things back and adding a lighter touch is a wonderful pallet cleanser.

    Started reading the latest two Battletech novellas that came out yesterday on Kindle, finally moving the narrative beyond the Dark Age/Age of Destruction and I can’t wait 😉

    Speaking of Kindle, Idon;t know if they are still on offer but a crop of Brandon Sandersons Cosmere books are on offer for £0.99 each – the first three books of The Stormlight Archive (The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance and Oathbringer) and the first five Mistborn books. Frankly that’s a crazy amount of fiction for not much money at all…

    Ohh … I just remembered a thing I wanted to say.

    @mage : I know one can think of additional names, but the inconsistent nature of the tables was odd to say the least.
    I also know too little of the 40k background to feel comfortable to be that creative myself.
    I guess I am a bit spoilt, because when I played Unreal Tournament I had a little utility (Bot editor) that could generate random bots with unique names to use in game. I think I used a full list of actual human names and a bit of code trickery to get some real creative results. The source code has unfortunately joined the great bit bucket in the matrix.

    The spacewolves got it easy … they can use any generator for Norse mythology.
    Does anyone know of name generators that fit in the 40k universe for the non human races ?
