@mage I’m doing one Ultramarine. And only as part of the spring cleaning 😉 There is a GAV tank and a Speeder waiting to be painted 😉

@sundancer : those are some proper old skool boys in blue … they don’t look so grim dark.

    Are they traitors ? 😉

@mage : I think the Hellboy movie suffered from bad timing. Or rather it was gone from the theatre before I even realised it was in. I kind of wished I had seen it.
OTOH … it must be pretty hard to compete with the previous Hellboy movies which introduced the character to me.

I kind of doubt it is worse than the Sonic movie trailer I saw :

Seriously ‘Gangsters’ paradise’ as trailer music for flockin’ Sonic …
the only good thing is seeing Jim Carrey as a bad guy and that final shot of him as Eggman (sp?) that looks somewhat like the video game character he’s based on.

    Something a bit better :

(close your eyes … and it’s like Deadpool in Pokemon ;-))

Detective Pikachu looks amazing. Go see if you can find the Ryan Reynolds method interview about it. Hilarious.

@limburger Russian music mentioning requires Hard Bass … the only real music for gopniks (too bad I’m not one)

Now as far as videogame movies are concerned I hope that Sonic for Jim Carey isn’t what Street Fighter was for Raul Giulia. We can only hope for his health.

@fogh Good plan to enjoy the best of modelling beverages

@tuffyears The first thing I thought before reading was looking at a flower

@sundancer Still weird that you’ve done Smurf Marines

@mage In my current schedule I do a couple daytime 12s and then switch to 2nd and then 3rd. I’ve found that the best way to deal is by staying up progressively later. Binging on stuff I want to catch up on helps and all the pirated anime (see what I did there, keeping in theme).

    Now for videogame related goodness

Bass heavy brain strain relief. Its a good balance to the other end of crazy that I normally hit the thread with.

So that is the first time I have listened to Russian Hardbass House.   Good to hear the 90s hardcore rave scene didn’t end in Russia!  Made me feel young again.

Had a coffee date this morning with the mrs, and picked up the newest issue of Conquest. Did some painting last night with my buddy John and his Fyreslayers are looking well. D&D is later.

Just a quick post before I go off for my haircut, haven’t forgotten about you guys.

Also I decided it was easier to both award, tally up points and award awards in one go at the very end so I dont have to log in multiple times throughout the week to sit down and do it with balancing hobby/family/work/chill time. So, this thread will finish up at 18:00 my time and Ill do all the arithmetic and science then, but feel free to keep posting.

    I will host tomorrow also.

@evilstu messaged me and won’t be able to assist for a while with hosting due to a hectic work schedule. I would like to ask one or two of you to volunteer to take the reigns on a semi regular basis, maybe if I got two volunteers to run one weekender a month each (that way I can host for two weeks and take two weeks off, or any combo thereof when I have abusy time with my son visiting and work) that would be fantastic.

Ok, time to head to town. Back in a while to upload my own hobby progress.

I’d like to volunteer @sundancer 🙂  He did a great job last time.

I’ll do it if you are really, really, really, really, really desperate.  More desperate than a 70 year old virgin on their death bed.

@robert I’d say that the music really was held in a stasis capsule and transported there only to be opened by accident. I can say that hard bass is like gabber and best left undisturbed in its tomb of things hopefully forgotten. Then again, this is the internet and it never forgets. What you just said should but can never be.
@mage Good to hear that you had some hobby time and were actually social with real people. I understand the screwball nature of work and will be putting in for a transfer to get myself better working conditions. Thankfully there’s already been a request made for me so it’ll likely go through.

Speaking of hobbying I got some airbrush work done on my Spring Clean piece and it didn’t quite come out as magnificent as I hoped. Trying to create the speckled pattern of a Dapple Grey horse isn’t the easiest. I’ve heard that aircraft modelers have complaints about smoke ring camo patterns being a pain. I’ve seen a video on the YouTube that was put up and did a great job with pastels but that is something I lack. I do have pigments so I’ll fool around more with what I’ve got.

Here’s my inspiration toward the kind of effect/look I want

And what I’ve ended up with (sneak peek WIP)

@robert thanks for the vote of confidence but this weekend is rather busy for me. It’s May 4th after all and my club is having some fun on Saturday.

@horati0nosebl0wer Best of luck with the transfer. As for the horse, maybe try a smudging effect with your fingers?

@robert Desperate? Why? You seem fairly on the ball 😉

@sundancer May the fourth be with you, but I am hosting this weekend so dont worry about it

A quick disclaimer, there will be a DJ award but no points for music this week, I kind of shoehorned everyone into an obscure genre with the theme so to keep things fair and away from subjectivity, this is what I have decided to do. Argh! Tis my ship! Lol.

45 points for the answers and pledge. Those are some nice battlemechs. Did you decide what you were doing with Spring Cleaning for a finish?

    10 points for responses.

    @horati0nosebl0wer <55 points>

40 points for the answers, the responsibilities of being a captain would suuuuuck. Unforunate your group is still stuck in GURPS. 10 points for the pledge, 5 for endgame.

Brie was meant to be a bit of a nasty person alright. So many interviews where everyone else is just plain uncomfortable around her, and honestly, in those interviews I get a serial killer vibe off of her. Nothing to do with the role, who she is, politics or gender, just as an individual human being I’d quantify her on the same wavelength as Christian Bale (if you read up on him, being batman notwithstanding, hes meant to be a huge asshat) in his bad moments.

    @robert <45 points>

Love the vanity designation of the vessel btw. 40 points for the answers, 5 for the pledge. How was the sister’s visit?
