All this talk though does lead me to my thoughts about a long term project with Ultramarines. Basically, find a battlefront the Primaris were deployed too and try to match them. Sounds fun. On the Topic of Boba Fett here is the progress I made today. I really love the model. It’s so easy to paint and so much easy to pickup details.

Sorry I haven’t been replying to individual people here, especially those who tagged me, or messaging much in general on this. Needed some down time after some stuff went on over the last few days with work/home/family/other stuff. Im finishing my night shift in the next hour approximately. Then I will sleep it off.

 

Then I have a free house and am babysitting my parent’s Dobermans. I shall partake in hobby. It shall be good. Also, youtube and netflix. Im rewatching Bleach. Im hoping to:

 

(1) Drybrush the storm troopers above twice, getting them to a nice, poppy, layered looking red. This should be quicky with the size of the drybrushes I have and how quick a technique it is. Ill probably also manage to paint the bases black and guns. Probably not much else with multi tasking, but that’s still really good.

 

(2) Wash and hilight my bayourks. I hope to get them up to 70% complete by this evening and possibly finished tomorrow. With that, I will have my Bayourk Start Warband and Battle for Troll Bridge Warbands complete. Fourteen models in all. Then when I get paid Friday I won’t feel bad adding more to the crew. (3) Boba Fett will take longer since he is not part of a batch, and is at that stage where I am doing washes on different parts of the model in different colours which need to dry. He’s sort of a ‘to do between Orcs/Orks’.

 

(4) Grind away on the Goblins. Touch ups, washes, highlights, so on and so forth.

 

(5) I have some questions and feedback on my models i will post up shortly when I get a chance. I could use community feedback 🙂

@mage why is your Boba not on the flight stand? Did you opt for a different pose or is just your flight stand missing? 😉

Also your embedded pictures look weird… have you got the embedded code wrong? horizontally vs vertically?

Ugh.. I’m back. Its been a shit Sunday and a slightly better Monday. My car got totaled on the way into work trying to get there early. I’m alright but waiting for insurance adjustment to see how much I can get back to buy another. In the meantime I’m trying to keep the nerves down hoping I don’t miss too much work. I made the mistake of trying to do some painting and screwed up the face of the Halloween pinup and I’m putting off hobby detail work. I’ll finish it later but scrap the competition. Getting back here is good because I found my modem died after I got home so today I got to replace that after a hike into town and back. Alas, that has been my tale of woe and sadness… hobby time will help. So back at this thing.

@mage The voice of Japanese women can be varied slightly but the videos I put up do tend to sound similar. I’ll post some things later for earbleach the likes sundancer was kind enough to toss in.

@oriskany Yes, you’re right about Blue Max being WWI. It must’ve been one of the other boxes I looked at when I was a kid. I  think I remember checkerboard pattern for some reason on one of the chits. It might’ve been one of the German planes with their ostentatious designs.

@querion I really like the way that wash came out on the bow and quiver for your figure. The detail shaded ever so slightly really is impressive.

@a27cromwell Check out Kromlech minis for some great looking pilot orks. If you are going to use the figure you already have there then you can get a head swap to plop onto him.

@sundancer Great BB work and Star Wars. Seeing great games pop up makes me think “Yes, I should spend money to play this” then I realize.. there’s not too many people near me to play against. Warma-Hordes and 40K is what I look around and see mostly so I drop into pickup stuff and delve into display stuff. To have the skill (and time) to 3d sculpt my hearts desire… besides a waifu.

Since the music sounded close to the same thing earlier I’ll toss in some stuff that breaks from the “idol” genre.

Hmm, at $13 a mini for townsfolk, it’d have a ghost town… lol! Jessica Jones S2 and Luke Cage S2… in my opinion the writing was showing. In both season I felt like characters made decisions at random then changed their mind for the sole purpose of the story running out the 13 episodes. I still enjoyed the shows and some of the decisions could be attributed to emotion rather than rational thinking. But, I noticed it. Oh well. I’ve watched the first ep of Iron Fist, my mate Damian says S2 is much stronger than s1. But yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to Daredevil!

the Magma troopers are cool. After I first your project, I totally fell down the rabbit hole looking at all the various kinds of Stormtroopers that have been created over the years. There’s plenty to work with!

The Night Gobbos are cool, what’s the story with the different skin colour? Warpaint or different breeds of Goblin?

So, I’ve got some progress on the Orcs. I was hoping to be further along, but I had some other stuff to take care of yesterday. Then I couldn’t find one of my brushes (it was under the backseat in the car)

Base colours are in place on the Orcs, they should be ready to dip. Though it’s too late for that now today, I might try painting it on directly…

Since I haven’t yet contributed to the musical appreciation society this week, I shall submit to you, my fellows, what I suggested in the Saturday Weekender: Fear Factory (Instumental versions) from the Carmageddon soundtrack!

@oriskany I’m not a fan of the new movies at all, Clone Wars and Rebels are really good TV Series if you’re after a laid back Star Wars experience.

I had a game of Bolt Action at my local gaming ground on Sunday. I lost in an extremely close finale that came down to him wiping out my Section on the objective. No pictures unfortunately.

Other than that I’ve been working on my American Civil War Campaign project that should be updated this weekend as well as getting ready to publish a new WWII/ACW themed Project that I want to have 100% complete before publishing. Here’s a sneak peek.
